Dec 21, 2009Why does the AllowDrop property in VB.net not appear in the intellisense menu of a control?
Also why is it not in the propeties window of the designer?

May 28, 2010I have just received an interesting feedback from a VB.NET customer using our product - for some reason intellisense hidden a certain enumeration value.After a small testing I have found that this is likely a bug in IntelliSense: [URL]..To be honest, I did not expect this problem with such a basic stuff like this. Have you seen this in the past? For me, it doesn't work in all VS versions...
Anyway, feel free to track this issue if you are coding in VB.NET.

It works, I click the little arrow, the context menu appears:I click the menu item, the event is fired, the control is docked:but the menu description is not updated or refreshed (it should show "Undock from parent container"). Mar 29, 2010In my winform app in VB.NET I want to use the localization option. But i have a few questions/problems. I'm using a menu strip to select an other language. But it seems that is doesn't change my menustip text to my selected language. It does change my labels, buttons, and textboxes but menu strips don't seem to change when I choose another language. Also is it possible to get those resx files such as MyForm.fr-FR.resx compiled so it isn't an external file outside my app? Or to get those files in an Language folder at the same location of my app, so i don't have all those fr-FR & nl-Nl folders in the same location as my program?

However suddenly around the 29th September 2010 it has stopped sending E-Mails from both Web Services and Windows Applications. Oct 6, 2011I have combed these forums and the 'net and can't find an answer to my specific problem. My menu strip disappeared (after deleting a small secondary form within my project). I therefore created a new strip and while recreating the menu items realized that the original menu items are still present, showing in my properties list. I have checked my design file as well and the original menu strip is definitely gone but the original menu items are there. I don't have many items so I would have no problem just deleting the original ones but I can't see them to delete them! I have checked and they are all set to visible. I have also moved everything on my form to see if it is behind anything else.

Mar 14, 2010I find myself frequently turning off Intellisense because it adds wrong choices to my code. For example if I try to type "i " (without the quotes) it causes "int " to be put into my code. If I type "for " it may put "form " into my text.
Reaching for the ESC key constantly slows down my typing. (It's such a long way to reach for small hands). Is there an alternative way to exit out of intellisense without the highlighted choice being placed into my code, or is a way I can define a different key for this purpose?

.Net 2008 IntelliSense Odd Behavior?
Jul 26, 2011I am primarily a C# developer; however, I am currently working on a project for a client who preferred VB.net. I have managed to switch over fairly well, with one frustrating exception. When editing a C# file in Visual Studio pressing enter will select an item out of the IntelliSense window and keep the cursor at the end of the selected statement.
However, when editing a VB file, pressing enter selects the item out the IntelliSense popup AND moves the cursor to the next line. I realize that this is a small thing, but it drives me crazy, because it makes it really hard to switch between C# and VB projects.
I have searched for everything I can think of in Google and found nothing. Does anyone know of a way to change the IntelliSense selection behavior?
