View 2 RepliesI cannot get the VB monthcalendar control to obey any of the properties I set for it, or the commands I give it programatically. It works (sort of - but with obvious bugs) in the state it arrives when copied to a new form straight out of the toolbox, eg when I click on a date etc, however if I set the background colour in Properties (or programatically), or try to change the BoldedDates programatically (as per numerous examples I have found) it ignores me!
I can create a brand new project, new form, add the monthcalendar out of the toolbox, change its properties in the Properties window, & when I run it the changed properties (eg background colour) are totally ignored.

It will sort of be like the query designer in SQL Man Studio. It will be used as a virtual desktop where a variety of objects (and their icon representations) can be freely placed and moved. When I start debugging, the system responds by indicating that the program is running but I don't see any output. I've tried editing code from the solution and the project. Both produce the error. Usually occurs when adding an "IF...Then..." condition. May work for hours but then crash. Meaning by that , that VS2008 was generating for me the rest of the code. [code] In Visual Studio 2010 I am not getting this anymore. What happened ? Is this feature still working in VS 2010 ?

The first time use the macro, it works fine. Each subsequent time, even after I detach from the process, the .Attach() doesn't seem to do anything. The same thing happens as I step through the macro... the proc.Attach() gets called on the correct process, but nothing happens. One note: when viewing the process in the Processes window, the Type column for my process shows ".NET, Win32".
Whenever I create a table adpater the wizard does not create and update command. It creates Select Insert and Delete but no Update command. I have a primary key in the data and have completely deleted my dataset and created connection and table adtaer from scratch with still no update command wizard says it will create it but does not.

When I create an updated version of the application and redeploy it to the webserver, the add-in correctly detects that there's a new version and attempts to update it. This is where I'm running into the following error (the "xxx" indicates that I had to censor something):url...The customization cannot be installed because another version is currently installed and cannot be upgraded from this location. To install this version of the customization,first use Add or Remove Programs to uninstall this program: xxx. Then install the new customization from the following location: url...This appears to me as if I left a local reference of some sort in my Project, but I can't find anything of the sort. The only reference to this file is within the xxx.vbproj.FileListAbsolute.txt file that's generated in the bin/Debug folder.Not sure if this is also a clue, but I'm seeing Registry Keys added referencing this as the location of the VSTO Project Manifest.

If he chooses the premium version, then I want it to say premium in his "receipt" later on and if he chooses standard, then standard in the receipt.

I have Visual Studio 2008 Professional and I'm trying to make it so I can click a button to send the application to the System Tray and then click the icon in the System Tray to make the application come back.
