Combo Box And Datagrid View Search?
Aug 24, 2009I have a Datagridview with a database attached , but I want to search the the collums by picking the collum I want from a combobox, writing in a textbox and pushing a button and the arrow in the database will move to the row if anything is found, BUT I don't know how to add the collums from the database to the combobox and do the search using the button.

Now the thing I want my ComboBox to do is this, if I select lets say google.co.uk I want my resaults to be searched on google.co.uk if I select .de only list from .de should be searched how can I achive this ?
My list is allready coming back from [URL] but dont know how to doit so that if I select other google it will search there isntead of [URL]

May 9, 2011I'm trying to creat a search form so far ive looked EVERY wher with no luck ive been doing this for a week now ands its really ratteling me that i cant do it.

Auto-populating Text Boxes On An Access 2003 Form When Value Selected In Combo Box

I have a combo box which is linked to a query which is looking up a unique reference number from a table called Tbl_Submitted_Requests.
What I need the form to do is auto populate the other text boxes when the user selects the unique reference from the combo box. How can I get the text boxes to auto populate with the data that is associated with each unique reference?

May 17, 2012I am trying to create a custom listbox control by inheriting the default system.windows.controls.listbox class which would automatically select the item based on keyboard input. Currently the listbox provided in Visual Studio is capable of searching only on the first letter, but I am trying to create onw which would select the item based on consecutive keyboard input characters. on the listbox, The control would select Banana upon pressing b,ba,ban etc etc..on keyboard..I am trying to findout the event that get raised when typing is done.

Jun 13, 2011 My problem is, the data that I pull from the database, when try to multiply it, it didn't multiply.
The database has Fruit and FruitPrice column. When select fruit form the combo box, it will search the price. But I can't seem to multiply it. The price is display at PriceTextBox but when multiply it, it shows 0 in the TotalTextBox. It is a simple problem but I've tried everything I know but it still didn't multiply.

Jul 22, 2010I have combo boxes for user choices on the form. One combo box for name, one for phone number and one for email. I first created that to allow user to make select in each combo box. As more "user friendly" interface, I I would like to associate the selection made on cmbBxReqstrName with corresponding phone number and email and cause the phone number and email combo box to "auto fill" in their respective combo boxes based on the selection in the cmbBxReqstrName. It was suggested to me that a two dimesional array might be an option. I read up on arrays but don't quite comprehend the coding part to access the data in the array and fill that to the combo box or I guess use the index from array to index the combo box list.

Sep 23, 2009have build some code which goes through the datasource finding records on what a user types, basically if the user types 'P' in the combobox it finds all records from FieldName with 'P' and if you type 'Portugal' it finds all records from the FieldName with 'Portugal, it all narrows down the search list say if there are to entries which match 'Portugal' the combox would only have to items in. The problem i am have is that when i bound the datasource back to the combobox every letter you type stays at Postion 0 of the combobox and doesn't move to the end of the letter as normally the combo works, does any one now how to get arround this problem.
At the moment i call my combobox search code from the keypress event of the combobox.This code works fine with recordsets in msaccess combobox but i cannot get it to work with the datasource of the combobox in vb.net Heres the code from the combobox keypress event:

Feb 24, 2009i wanted to link options selected from Comb box A (general) to specific options in combo box B (specific). I want to pick a word in Combo box A that has specific words/phrases in Combo Box B show. But not all the words to show in the combo box B if they aren't associated with the Word picked in Combo Box A.
