This is a WinForm VB.NET application. Please see the picture below:How to add a line break in a multi line textbox in Visual Studio designer's property section?I tried using abc & Environment.NewLine & def but that was not working.
im using that code can u plz tell me how can i break the line .because the reason is that my rich textbox text is to much so i want if richtextbox textlength greatter than 9 the line change.[code]
im using that code can u plz tell me how can i break the line .because the reason is that my rich textbox text is to much so i want if richtextbox textlength greatter than 9 the line change.e.Graphics.DrawString(Quote.RichTextBox1.Text, Mysimple, Brushes.Black, x + 35, y + 240)
I made the labels red so you can see them. I used a picture of a little mug as bullet, aligned top-left. The label text normaly begins at the far left of the label, but with a bit of coding I solved that problem. I did not want to add extra spaces to the text directly for keeping the data base small. The problem however is when the label has 2 or more lines of text the text don't line up nicely with the top line, once again I no not want to save the extra spaces to the data base.
Here is the picture and the code used.
CheckLabel.DataBindings.Add("text", Hoof_GeregteBindingSource, ("Inhoud" & (Inhoud_Label_Counter).ToString)) Dim MyVar As String = CheckLabel.Text MyVar = MyVar.Substring(MyVar.IndexOf("#") + 1) Select Case CheckLabel.Text.Substring(0, 1)
We can reproduce it to the point it happens whenever we click Tab, but short of putting a break point at the beginning of every method in the project to find out what is executing.
Is there a way to set visual studio to break whenever anything executes?
how can i get the number of spaces in the beginning of each line before a word..following code is just for example reasons, not to be misunderstood for code that needs to be fixed.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If Clipboard.GetDataObject.GetDataPresent(DataFormats.Text) Then RichTextBox1.Paste() RichTextBox2.Paste() End If End Sub
I need to work out how to use Vbcrlf to execute a line break after a the text that has been written reaches a certain length. I am using a char check to count the number of spaces that have accoured but can't get it to link up with the textbox in question.[code]...
I'm not getting this at all I suppose. I've tried so many variations to split the lines into individual fields and I still cannot get it to do what I want.
I have to get lines from a sequential file which read like:
CODE:
And load them to a listbox like this:
CODE:
With the ID # padleft(10, "0") and the commas eliminated, and only the Last Name, First Name and Middle Initial showing.
This is my mess of a code (it is just one of many variations)
CODE:
I've got the ID field right but the rest just shows up as it is in the file commas and all.
I have this program that outputs all the servers on a specific game. It outputs it to a text file. However, There is a lot of annoying spaces. This is kind of hard to explain, so I'll try to explain it. This is what The text file looks like.
As you can see, they have these annoying spaces. What I want to do: 1. Get rid of the spaces, But keep the space between the IP and the Port. 2. After the spaces that are bad are gone, I want the program to output each single IP AND port To its own text Box. It doesn't matter is the textbox of the IP and Port are seperated, It can just be one textbox with the IP and port, with a space between them. Thats about it!! I have the GUI done, and the rest of the programming, all I need now is this. Reformat without spaces > output each seperate line of text to a seperate textbox > TYTYTYTY
Is there a way for VB to send a command to the command prompt? Say, I wanted it to open a CMD box and send ipconfig into that box, what would that be?
I wrote a VB.NET application to send notifications by SMS using an SMTP gateway [URL]..The message includes line breaks and display well under most providers but not all.For some providers, the message will display in one line with line breaks showing as "0D0A" which just won't work for me.
Is therea solution to this problem?Using an SMS agregator is out of the question for my solution.
Yes, I did that. Turned out to be carrier specific. Yet another problem i am having is specific to the phone model (one specific user receive the messages well on his old razor, changed to a new motorola phone with the same carrier and now receives an empty message).
OK, SO i have this program that outputs all the servers on a specific game. It outputs it to a text file. HOWEVER, There is a lot of annoying spaces. This is kind of hard to explain, so ill try to explain it. This is what The text file looks like. [Code]

I'm having a slight issue and I've been Googling for ~3 hours now but to no avail like my other 2 questions of which the answer was obvious.t will probably be obvious again.Anyway, I want to colour everything after the String 'text2' in RichTextBox1 until the end of the line.'ve been playing around with it a bit but I couldn't get it to work.
Sub: Private Sub ChangeColourOfWord(ByVal wordRE As String, ByVal Colour As Color, ByVal wordRE2 As String, ByVal Colour2 As Color)
I am trying to build a report from vb.net, and here is
Dim oWord As Word.Application Dim oDoc As Word.Document Dim oTable As Word.Table
[Code].....
The problem is, if the data in the for each loop extends to next page, I want the entire data in for loop to move to next page. I think of adding a page count integer and verify it with starting and ending to determine and change the page. The problem is I dont know how to insert a page break at a specified line number. page break is Word.WdBreakType.wdPageBreak but how to insert it at a line number?
I am still learning VB and operating VB 2005 for school. Challenging issue recently arose and would like advice from someone smarter than I .... When writing code to query several elements from a user, such as: Street number, street name, city, state, zip ... all posed as individual response questions. I want the ultimate displayed answer to show in a single line. When I write to code for that, I get the response in a single line, but they are all jammed together in the cout result screen display, with no spaces between answers (e.g. 2118Winona AveMontgomeryAlabama36102). I want a blank space to display between elements (e.g. 2118 Winona Ave Montgomery Alabama 36102). How do I cause the result line to include spaces?
I just got Windows 7, so I re-installed VB 2008 Express and have been met with some weird issues. One of which is when my program is running it used to break on a line where an error was occurring and tell what it was and let me fix it and continue. So I can see the error in the Immediate window but why is it not breaking on the line? It just continues loading the program. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I have a string that has 2 sections broken up by a -. When I pass this value to my new page I just want the first section. An example value would be: MS 25 - 25 I just want to show: MS 25 I am looking at IndexOf() and SubString() but I can't find how to get the start of the string and drop the end.
I am trying to take one string that is too long for it's container, so it wraps, and break the string at the wrap into two strings. So say I have this string
"this is a string"
I would like to make this into: "this is a" - "string", two different strings. But I will not know where the break is..
