Im Building a auction application and i need to catch the exceptions i.e if two people press the bid button at the same time i need to capture that exception and figure out who was has the highest bidder out of the pair of them then show the relevant message, my question is how can i achieve the above?

I've spent several hours poking around looking for inspiration but only finding unclear and half-baked examples. As such, I was thrilled to stumble across the article: Managing Low-Level Keyboard Hooks in VB .NET written by Paul Kimmel [URL] This article is insightful, comprehensive, well-written, and I thought it was a huge help. One little problem though, the code that was provided did not work, (I knew it was too good to be true!).
Now, Mr. Kimmel seemed very knowledgable and I think that he probably tested his code, so quite likely the problem is something that I'm doing wrong seeing as I am a newbie. As the article suggests I cut and pasted his code into a module in my project (solution I guess is the proper term), and I call the HookKeyboard method from a button on a form, and Presto! Nothing happens. Stepping through this code I see that the second line in HookKeyboard:

So I currently have the following:
2 timers
2 labels
1st label is "Clock" this pulls the time from the users current time zone/local time
2nd label is "UTCClock" Which would be UTC time
Now I have this for the first label: clock.Text = Format(TimeOfDay, "hh:mm:ss tt")
Which would give the users current time zone/local time. As for the UTC.. how would I add in for the UTC time from where the user is located at? I did some searches.. but couldnt find what I was looking for.. IM pretty sure its not as easy as getting the users current time zone/local time.. So im assuming that Theres a "bit more" code into getting UTC time..
Is there an easy way for me to capture some system data when I except? Particular memory information. I am wanting to increment an integer by 1 each time i press a key. My problem is this, when i press the key, the integer is increased by a lot, unless i just 'tap' the key very precisely.

I am using nunit 2.5.7 and for attaching and debugging to work you need to attach to the nunit agent and press run on the nunit gui, for more recent versions of nunit you can attach to the nunit gui.the above script enables nunit debugging from the Visual Studio IDE with just visual Studio and the nunit binaries. all you need to do is set up nunit as an external tool (with the current project as a parameter), create a custom toolbar, and add a button to that toolbar that uses the above script. this will start nunit, attach to it, start running the tests, and break at your breakpoint.
one more thing: in the nunit gui disable "Save Visual state of each Project" in Tools -> Settings -> Tree Display or the nunit gui will remember the last run test, which is a pain if that's not the one you wanted to debug.
