Change Check Box Status In Form While Other Code Is Running?

I have a form which I use to read data from a text file and export it to an excel template file. The data it reads is constantly updated so I would like to add a check box to cause the data to be read every 10 seconds. It's set up so the user can either do one quick scan by clicking a button, or they can click the button while also having the check box checked and it will scan every 10 seconds.The problem is, once I check the check box, I can't uncheck it. I have created a greatly simplified version of my original code to demonstrate this concept.

I have a spellcheck program for an external application. My vb.net app calls a .vbs file to invoke the word spellcheck engine, runs the spellcheck, copies to MS clipboard and then I want it to automatically paste back into the active window. What my issue is, is that I need a delay or check of some sort in the code so that I can know when the vbscript has been completed before pasting text to to the window. I've tried the following but the app invokes the script then immediately checks to see if the script is running (which of course it is) so it's useless... Or is this something I should change/handle in the vbs file? I'm not very good with vbscript however.

I have an app that adds ammount to gether and i am trrying to do some error checking. This is the code i Have so far

I would like to turn this into a select case so that it calls all the code need to check before running. I have tried to do it my self but has been ages since i coded and even then it was in VB6. I know there is a way to do the case in a module and then call it into the form where i need it. i have 3 radio buttons that if they are not selected it pops up a message to say so.

i made a form as big as my screen and remove the button on the title bar to ensure that the form will not be tamper with, but i still can make it small using mouse arrow drag, going to last border of the form.

I have a gridview in which when I click edit, update, and cancel button comes. I have a variable named status. If status=false then update should change to insert and if status=true then update should be update itself.

I've got a form that opens up whilst data is being pulled from the database in another form (basically a box to say it's loading), the form opens when I want it to and the gif shows but doesn't run until the code on the other form has finished.

We have a purchased application written in Visual Studio 2005 that uses tab controls for displaying information. One of the tabs is for reporting and I am trying to run some code to enable and disable a Validate button. It has a proprietary report component (LxReportView1) that is initially disabled. As user enters information, the Validate button is used to check for required fields. After data entry entries have been validated, user click Validate one last time and record gets flagged as validated and report component (LxReportView1) gets enabled for use. Ideally, whenever this Report tab is clicked, it will run my code EACH TIME.[code]Works fine when user's first action is to bring up a record that has already been validated. So when user clicks on Report tab, report component LxReportView1 has been enabled for use and the Validate button has been disable just as designed. Problem is that given a list of records, if user selects a record that has NOT been validated yet and then later on brings up another record that has been validated, code does not run. How can I get this code to run EACH and EVERY TIME the form loads.

I have an automated program that batch prints PDF files to certain network printers. On occasion our print server will go down & screw up the automated printing process & lose prints. I am looking for a way to check the status of the print server before sending prints. If the status is not "OK" then I want to pause the automated process until the server is back to "normal". Can anyone tell me how I would check this status or where I should be looking?

I have searched all over and can not find the printqueue anywhere. I'm using VS 2008 Pro, and .NET 3.5. I'm writting in Visual Basic.I create my document then send it to a previous selected printer. I do not give the user a printdialog I handle all the settings in the code. My problem is when the printer is not online, it triggers an unhandled exception. I would like to check the status of the printer just before the printdoc is sent, so that I can handle what to do when the printer is offline.

My next step is to allow a pause checking the status of the motor and or inputs before going to the next step. Reason is so it does not do many calls to the motor controller so fast. I need some help building a loop that checks status of the motor and if Motor1Active is 1 which means it is running that it needs to wait a bit and then rechecks itself. If it is not running it will continue to the next step command. Here is a sample of what I got but need to figure out say a 50ms wait before rechecking. I guess a loop that rechecks and waits 50ms and then rechecks the status and if done and reads 0 then it goes to the next step. if still 1 output data it waits 50ms and then rechecks. The following is what I got started with but need help with if then else and anything else statement.
