well i successfully docked a perpixel alpha form with the main form(form1). but the perpixel alpha form always appears at the top left corner of the screen and when i move the main form the form(perpixel alpha form) inside it dosen't move it stays at the top left corner. ALWAYS. to dock the perpixel alpha form i used

I Have tried changing the properties, Start Position to Manual, And then changed Location 0,0. but what if someone has a different size screen than mine.

I did move the form to the top position of the screen but it doesn't move on the correct position. [Code] form1 supposed to be on the top of the left of the screen. but it doesn't at the top screen but every time i click open button, form1 keep on moving downward.

View 4 RepliesI've made a project with a menu.This menu is placed in a form which i use as a MDI Parent, and all the other forms are opend in this parent form.Everything works ok.
When I open a menu item (eg form A), the form display's correctly.But when I minimize the procject to the taskbar, and maximize it again, Form A shifted position a bit lower.
I can't figure out what's going on.

View 21 RepliesI have a VB.NET MDI WinForms app. My users have been complaining about form creep (as they call it), this is where each time you open a specific form within the main MDI window it opens slightly below and to the right of the location it loaded previously - i.e. it starts in the top left of the window and works its way down to the bottom right.I have to agree with them that this is extremely irritating, is there any way to prevent this?

I can address this somewhat by setting the forms start-up positions to 'Manual' but then they just open directly on top of each other in the top left of the screen.
If the user click one of 4 buttons the form position on the screen will change. The four positions are Top Right, Bottom Right, Top Left, Bottom Left.

The user needs to insert information and close the form. Sometimes the user is not near his machine so whenever there is a new mail I am adding new controls and modify the child size.
It has been successful using the Form.show() method but not in showdialog() i cant add controls and change the form size can someone please help on the subject?

When it fills it covers up the form and the gradient on the form. Is it possible to make the TableLayout Panel and its controls colour clear or can you pass the same gradient color from the form to all the controls in the TableLAyout Panel (including the TableLAyoutPanel).

View 4 RepliesI can hide my startup form (or make it appear hidden) on startup. I can start my app on windows startup--through registry values--if the user checks a checkbox.
But if the app starts up on windows startup, I want the form to be hidden, so the program can just keep working without bothering anyone. If it starts up because the user started it, I want the form to be showing, because the user probably wants to change some settings or something.
I want to have a DataGrid in a form Docked as Fill, and have it located below the ToolStrip.What I mean by Docked as Fill is I want to be able to resize the DataGrid along with the Window Form.When I select Dock as Bottom, the space between the DataGrid and ToolStrip changes as well.
View 1 RepliesI am using vb.net 2008 i have been using a mdi form which is the startup form for my prog. and i have a main menu on that form. now i would like to shift to tree view as my client has asked for it. whenever a node is selected i can select the form corresponding for that particular code. everything is fine till here. but when the form is loaded the tree view is coming on top of the form the tree view is docked in a pannel. now i have tried everything treemenu.sendtoback and the say the form to b called is taxtypemaster then taxtypemaster.bringtofront but still the tree view is coming over the form
