VS 2008 - Mdi Form - Startup Form For My Program - Hide The Treeview

I am using vb.net 2008 i have been using a mdi form which is the startup form for my prog. and i have a main menu on that form. now i would like to shift to tree view as my client has asked for it. whenever a node is selected i can select the form corresponding for that particular code. everything is fine till here. but when the form is loaded the tree view is coming on top of the form the tree view is docked in a pannel. now i have tried everything treemenu.sendtoback and the say the form to b called is taxtypemaster then taxtypemaster.bringtofront but still the tree view is coming over the form

Even the visible doesnt work as it seems after the .show it makes the tree view visible again. how do i hide the treeview pls. someone guide me at the earliest. i feel it is not the prob. of treeview but something to do with the mdi form am i right ?
I can hide my startup form (or make it appear hidden) on startup. I can start my app on windows startup--through registry values--if the user checks a checkbox.
But if the app starts up on windows startup, I want the form to be hidden, so the program can just keep working without bothering anyone. If it starts up because the user started it, I want the form to be showing, because the user probably wants to change some settings or something.
How to hide the main form upon load (startup)??? I have tried Me.Hide() And some others ones, but none of them actually HIDE the form upon startup. It also has a NotifyIcon but once again it will not hide the main form..
Is the StartUp form of a program saved in a variable (i.e. from the name space My) ? I guess I can catch it during startup by using an Object Type variable during Load time , but I wonder if it is already defined anywhere else .
i'm designing a program ........ i just wanted to know how to hide my program form (alt+tab) screen .........and how to hide my program from (task manager)..... and also how can i delete my program after its "FIRST OPEN" and after that it copies itself to the desktop folder.
i deleted my previous start up form to be replaced by another one but each time i launch the application,the deleted start up form is still displayed.i dont know from where this deleted start up form is being loaded.
My company's main software package includes a hefty configuration library which loads on startup. This config library includes some mandatory settings which, if not supplied (via command line arguments), cause the entire application to exit.

I was wondering if there is any way to hide a form when you run the program but at the same time still display the contents of what was inside the form. so what I have is a form and a picturebox can I hide the form but still display the picturebox on the screen?
In VBA you can have a Userform implement a custom interface and only the properties defined in the interface will show in the VBA Intellisense for the Userform. I tried to duplicate this functionality in VB.Net (2010) and all the base Form properties still show.[code]...
Im making a program that reads from an ini file and then prints it in the form I have a problem when Im trying to open the compiled file the form is just blanc and there isnt any text its like it isnt reading from my code

I added this code to be able to use some controls from another form, but since i added it, i can't choose that form as startup form. If i remove the code, i can choose it, if i add it again,i can not. So what can i do?

well i successfully docked a perpixel alpha form with the main form(form1). but the perpixel alpha form always appears at the top left corner of the screen and when i move the main form the form(perpixel alpha form) inside it dosen't move it stays at the top left corner. I have a main form that has a button with which a smaller form is shown. Think of the smaller form as the Find/Replace dialog in many applications, such as Notepad. It's important that the form is (what I believe is called) modal. What I mean is that it always stays on top of the main form. I ensure that by calling the Show method with "Me" as the owner argument. Whenever the small form loses focus it will not disappear into the background but stay visible (albeit out of focus). If you don't understand open up Notepad and have a look at the behavior of the Find/Replace dialog.
Here's my problem: instead of actually closing the form when the X is pressed, I want it to simply Hide itself, so its position and the state of any controls (checkboxes etc) is preserved automatically.To achieve this I simply cancel the FormClosing event and Hide it:

To show the form, I use the following (note the (Me) to make the main form the owner of the form; this ensures that it remains visible even when it is out of focus):

Now. When I run my project, and open the Form2 (small form), then hide it again (by 'closing' it), I can no longer close the main form (Form1)! It seems the main form cannot close when the small form still exists (albeit invisible)...?? When I don't use the Me argument in the Show method, I don't get the behavior I want. I know I can set the TopMost property to True but that will also cause it to become visible on top of all the other forms, even windows not part of my application.

I'm curious if it is possible to hide a group of text boxes from view in a form until a particular condition is met, and to have a custom set of text boxes for that condition. To give an example; I want radio buttons offering choices for a manner of searching records, the user selects one and then a specific set of text boxes are displayed for the user to utilize, if a different option is chosen a different set of text boxes will be shown. Is this something that can be done?
I have three forms: A, B and C. Upon a button being clicked, A displays B. Similarly, B displays C. Both using the ShowDialog() method.
However when I use the Hide() method (inside a Button Click event) on form C to close it, form B also closes. Why would this be? As far as I can see, it shouldn't be doing this. I certainly didn't write any code to tell it to do that.

UPDATE: I am an idiot. DialogResult was set to Cancel on the button as I'd copy+pasted it from the existing Close button and not realised that property was set
I have created a calendar in VB which works fine when set to the startup form, but when I use the MdiParent form as the startup form and try to display the calendar by use of a control it just shows all the buttons and labels with no values assigned to them. Its almost as if the Calendar_Load event is not working, or not accessing the methods in my CalendarClass.
how i can write a program to create a shortcut in the startup folder of a different program. So i have one program on my computer that should run at startup, i just need another program to create a shortcut to it, and then copy this shortcut into the startup folder.
As usual, I change the startup form under Application tab. At this time, it doesn't run my selected Startup form. Whatever I set to any forms or even excluding that form, it still runs the same form.
