Color Some Items In A ListBox?
Apr 17, 2012The problem it's about coloring the items in ListBox. I don't know how to color some items in ListBox, but with same background color that they are showed in TextBox.

On picture 1 There is item that i get from RandomItem Button.Color it's depend on quality of item. For this example, i choose some Gloves with Green Background Color. So when i press on Take it, item go to my Invetnory and stay there while i don't use it, drop it or sell it. But i have problem with the background color of item when i took it in Inventory. So you can see on picture 1 that item got Green Background Color, and when i put it in my Inventory, (you can see in picture 2) there is no background color in ListBox. So My question it's, How i need to fix this code, to be able to take Text and Background Color together from the TextBox to ListBox. For now it's just Text. Here is the code that i used for transfering the Text from TextBox to the ListBox without color:

I have a list box display on a form. I want to change the forground color of one item using item index. The code "lststock.item(x3).attributes.add("style", "color:red")" does not work. One solution was two pages of code! This s/b simple. I have the INDEX of the list item. I just want to change the words in that item from the color at list build time to red to highlite it!

Mar 9, 2011I'm making a small program in VB.NET. I have a listBox and a button. I'd like to be able to press the button and have the selected listBox item change it's foreColor to green. I've tried many ways of doing this, ranging from overriding the draw method to using a listView (listBox is much better for what I'm doing, please don't recommend that I use a listView, I've already tried it.)At first I thought this would be simple, but it's the exact opposite and I'm very frustrated that such a simple task should be so difficult. I don't want to use any third-party controls, as I'd have to completely re-write my application.

Oct 14, 2011i have a listbox that contains the words "week1", "week2",all the way up to "week52" and when i select a week from the listbox it will retrieve a value from a mysql database that will represent a progress bar value. my progress bar has a range of 0-120 and i would like to have all the weeks that have values higher than 100 to be highlighted or marked somehow, in the listbox. so my question is, "is there a way to set the background color of certain weeks in the listbox to orange based on the value that they represent on the database?
for example for "week1", the value is 114, so when the listbox loads, i want the background color of the item "week1" in the list to be orange (indicating that it's current value is higher than 100)? i know that this requires me to implement a user defined drawing function for the listbox items but i dont know where i would even start. i would like this to be somewhat automatic so that it checks the values and changes the background colors of any value higher than 100, instead of me specifying a name of the item.

Sep 18, 2011I have 2 listboxes, listbox1 holds File names, listbox2 holds fullpath of the files(listbox2 is hidden just to keep things looking tidy).
