SSRS Expression To Assign Color Using Multiple Parameter?

I have a table, the color of the whole row depends on one of the two columns. Table: | ID | Name | Date | Ext Date |
Where Date color depend on the value, <15 is green, <30 is yellow and >30 is red. While Ext Date depends on value, >-14 is red, >-30 is yellow, <-29 is green and without Ext Date value will follow Date value.
I tried to put Switch in IIf but returns no color at all.

I want to pass an optional parameter to a function of type System.Drawing.Color. The problem I am having is that when I declare the function it says "Constant expression is required" but I have tried variations of the following, including integers, full qualified indentifiers, even old vbWhite constants to no avail.

I have a report already setup on the ReportServer. And its subscription as well. What I'm trying to do is add the ParameterValue "CC" and some email addresses then send the email out. It doesn't seem to work.

Consider this SSRS value expression :=IIF(First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet")=0, "yes", "no")
MyCol is a Nullable column. I want "yes" to be output only when MyCol equals 0. The code above correctly evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is 0. However, it also evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is Nothing (i.e. NULL in SQL Server). Is this expected behavior ?
I had to resort to the following longer expression to get the desired result :
=IIF(Not(First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet") is Nothing) And First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet")=0, "yes", "no")Is there a shorter version of this which also works ?

I am very new to SSRS.I have added one Parameter named Date on SQL Server Report.i have set parameter value from aspx.cs code behind file.i have drown that parameter on ReportHeader and i want display CurrentDate value on that parameter and i tried =Join(Parameters!Date.Value,", ") but it displays #Error at runtime.i also tried =Join(Parameters!Date.Label,", ") but it displays Nothing.

my users to view, send (via email), export SSRS reports. I have set up date parameter boxes with calendar drop down and they are able to send via email a URL link that would either display the report via ReportViewer or send a link that would let then view the report in Excel or PDF. This is working just fine. Now I just added another report with a procedure prompt using a text box. Report works fine when I run it in SSRS. If I enter say carotid stent, it displays all records that have the word "carotid stent" in the procedure name field. Now, when I added code using VS 2005 to accommodate this new parameter, here's my code -

Can you look at my coding and let me know what I'm missing or doing wrong?I have a SSRS report that is called from a ReportViewer control and the ProcessingMode for this control is Remote. The report also has 1 parameter in it's DataSet.In the code I placed a MsgBox to make sure the code is finding the parameter and returning the parameter name. I am trying to stick the value of 10 into the parameter for playerID 10. Data for this player does exist.
I believe I need to add some more code to make this work but I'm not sure what else to add.
When the code executes the report is displayed but no data is shown in the report.

I'm using SharpZipLib to compress files. The library is wrapped in a plugin interface, in a separate DLL. I pass the plugin dll a ByRef parameter to keep track of the compression progress.SharpZipLib, while compressing, will periodically call a delegate sub passed when launching the compression. I can't figure out how to update the ByRef parameter when the delegate is called. If I try to assign the ByRef variable in the body of a lamba expression, I get a 'ByRef' parameter '<parametername>' cannot be used in a lambda expression error.

(Not really sure if I phrased the question correctly...) I want to create a lambda expression that would take an Object, attempt to convert it to a passed-in Type, and print to the console whether it was successful or not. At a glance, the lambda expression may seem a pretty silly way to accomplish this task, but I'd really like to know what I'm doing wrong, so I can better grow my skill set.

I have simple columns and their respective sums. However, I exclude 1 particular value from each sum, like so [code]...
Now I need to exclude another value ("Awaiting Progression") from a second column called "PROGRESSION".
Since I already exclude value based on 1 column called CATEGORY, how do I change my =Sum(Code.ExcludeOthers(Fields!CATEGORY.Value,Fields!ACTION_PLAN_NEW.Value)) to exclude a value from the PROGRESSION column if it's = ("Awaiting Progression") ?
i.e. How do I exclude multiple values, depending on values in 2 columns in SSRS 2005?

create a regular expression. It is a little like a search and replace, I want to replace any string that contains any substring in parentheses with the same string but the words in parentheses colored RED.
Eg Take this text in TextBox1:
"The Prime Minister (that idiot from Scotland) made a speech today"
and convert to this text in RichTextBox1:

just want to check whether i am doing this right,i am using visual studio 2008 and have inserted an expression in the backgroundcolor properties for one of the textbox in the table which is suppose to highlight the textbox accordingly. the expression is:-
=iif(fields!element1.value = "hello", "Red", "White")
but however, the expression did not seem to take any effect on the textbox and remain transparent.

This is my first attempt at writing a program that accesses a database from scratch, rather than simply modifying my company's existing programs. It's also my first time using VB.Net 2010, as our other programs are written in VB6 and VB.NET 2003. Im using a dataset to display data in a datagrid from a sql server DB. One of the colums I have in my datagrid is "Status" the table adapter sql statment selects certain items based on whether there open or closed e.g "where = Open ". I want to remove this row entirely and instead of displaying open or closed for status column, display the open/ closed results in colour on the datagrid. Im really not sure how to go about this whether i need to do it in the table adapter or some sort of property. I presume i need to write a sql statement and selct the identity of the row where x= open etc , is there a way of assigning a colour in sql statement so it displays on my vb form ?

I'm using the code below to take a string and split it up into an array. It will take: Disney Land and make it two separate elements. If the string contains "Disney Land" then it is one element in the array. Works great, however it adds some empty elements to the array each time. So I just iterate over the elements and remove them if they are empty. Is there a tweak to the code below that will prevent those empty elements from occurring?

I'm reading a text file that has ZPL language for sending strings to a Zebra printer. Each line has one parameter that is replaced with a value. However, the line posted below has multiple parameters that need to be replaced with values.

I am in vb.net and have a function that will be accessed by multiple threads. Everything inside the function uses local variables. However, each thread will pass in its own dataset by reference. From what I have read the local variables should be no problem, but I think the dataset coming in is a concern. How should I control access / execution of this function to make sure that it is thread safe?
