Compare Forms Textbox.text Value Formatted As Longdate Into Sql Server Datetime Column?

Im trying to retrieve some rows from sql server having datetime column that matches the given value of the textbox in a form. The tables datetime column name is "DepDateDepositDate" and the textbox.text was formatted as longdate eg("Tuesday, April 06, 2010") I have this code below but it seems its not retrieving the data that i wanted.

I am using vb.net 2005. In my form there is RichTextBox, when i write particular format with bold,diffrent font,color and save to sql server 2000 database with datatype 'Text' then formatted text not save in database.what is the way or source code to save formatted(rtf) text to databse, and how to display/retrive formatted(rtf) text back to RichtextBox.

I have a Data Table Column with multiple Rows of data. I need to search all lines of TextBox1.Text for any data that is identical to any row in the specified data column ("MCaddRG"). Also any identical findings need to be made into a new text file or a new form with a text box.[code]...
*Also if it is possible I would really like to have a check box list that contains the data from the "Device" columns so I could check the "Device" and then it search the TextBox.Text for the checked "Device's" "MCaddRG"

How I would sum the last column, all of the numbers in bold, of this text file and then make the result as the DataSource of a Textbox?

Instead of the send message text box and message display text box, I have replaced it with RichTextBox for text formatting (bold/italics/underline/font/color). The problem I am facing is when I format the text and click on send, then the text displayed on the message display box (txtMessageHistory) is unformatted. [Code] Rest of the code of client is related to formatting of the rich text boxes that is not relevant to my problem. I just need to transfer the formatted text from client to server and then back to the client the same way and display the message with text formatting.

i have a textbox in my app, and when you click the button it inputs the textbox.text into a website textarea this worked fine when i was testing it using the source code (html file on my computer) but what i did not realise was that the textarea was formatted with some java (added tools to the texarea) so now when i try it on the website it does not work as the textarea has the java running. (calls it from another url) code i was using

I have a Datetime Picker on a form.
When I use dtArrival.value for instance, it gives me the date in the format "24/04/2010 10:54 PM"
Is there a way that I can grab the value in the format "YY/MM/DD" e.g the value would return "10/04/24"?
Also whats the easiest way to calculate the number of days between two datetime pickers on the same form? I've tried to do it and it's just a mess.

I try to compare Datetime.Now with a Datetime variable I set, using the Datetime.CompareTo() method. I use a timer to compare these every second and display the result, but as the current time approaches the time I set, the result changes from 1 to -1, but never 0, which means these two are never equal. I'm suspecting the Datetime structure contains milliseconds?

First I create a class which have a string property

Again a little (for me) tricky thing:Supose you have a ComboBox control with predefined values - to keep it simple, let's add some colors:
- Blue
- Green
- Red
- Yellow
Now you have a TextBox control as well. If you type into the TextBox BLUE (non-key sensitive) I would like to make it recognize that this value already exists. It does not have to do anything else except for notifying me about a match.I do think that the TextBox1.KeyPress or TextBox1.TextChanged event is what I need but I have no idea how to compare to the ComboBox1 items. I've tried to create an Array of my ComboBox1.Items but didn't get much more than errors. Can anybody help? I am sure it is quite simple however, I can't get my mind set to go in the right direction

I've build a list of Strings from files. The list itself is working fine (tried it by having ListBoxes and other controls loading its items from there just to make sure that this is not the issue). Now, I am using this list of strings to compare a Text in a TextBox1 while typing to determine if this TextBox1.Text already exists in the list. I am using the following code (where "s" stands for my List items):

[Code]in my program, i've created a function wherein i will get the min timeentry for type 0 and it depends on the current date. so heres how it goes [Code] what should i put as the value of time entry? i tried format(var,"m") but no success. in the code i post above it also does not work. i get this error "The conversion of a varchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value." how can i match the value in the database and the current date so that i can retrieve a value?

I want to filter my results with respect to date and time....I have date stored in a separate field which is of datetime data type...Another field stores Time value but as it is a datetime data type so it stores current system date along with the entered time. Now when I filter results using date then it runs well and shows the results between specific period like between dates from 12/10/2011 and 12/15/2011...But when I want to show results with respect to time it doesn't show any results...
I am using dataadapter and dataset for retrieving records from the sql server database... Please tell me the solution for comparing time value taken from the textbox with the datetime value stored in the database so that i get results between specific time like between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Actually I have datetime value stored in the database. What I am taking from the textbox is a time value. I want to extract those results from the database which are between the given time value....To be more concise, my application is a booking system for a sports club and provides an option to view alreaady made bookings.. Here i offer two options either to view all bookings for a specific game or to filter bookings. In filter bookings one option is to filter through date and time...Date option is running okay but problem lies in time part...I provide two times but unable to view bookings between them...

I have column with bit datatype in sql server table(2008).while returing to text box its returning true in text box instead of 1.i tried converting it from true to 1 using txtboolvalue.text=Math.abs(CINT(ReturnList.Item(34)).tostring. But it doesnt convert true to 1

Okay, so what I want to do is directly output formatted RTF text to a Rich Text Box control in VB.NET. I don't want to find the text, select it and color it as it is not practical for what I'm doing. I've tried outputting RTF code but that isn't working either. Can I actually do this or will I have to write a dll?

I have looked around for awhile and have not seen anything yet. I was hoping someone came up with something by now that can guide me in the right direction. I have an rtf string pulled from my database. I was trying to find a way to display this rtf string formatted in silverlights richtextbox. From what I have read silverlights richtext stores formatted text as xaml and not true rtf. Has anyone found a work around?
