Controlling Output To A TV Display While Control Panel Is On Laptop Screen?
May 21, 2011
I have a program written in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2008. I have one window form to display on a laptop that controls the information seen/sent on another form that is to be continually displayed on an output from the laptop to a TV, Projector or Monitor. Or I would like to accomplish this:
Computer/laptop - Has window form 1 that controls the program TV/Ouput - Has window form 2 that shows updated data on the screen for people to see I do not want people to see the control form that is on the laptop. Is their a way to assign a form to use an output to other screen only?
I created an application in vb.net I have a user control having datagridview and some other controls. Grid rows is not fixed and so size is calculated dynamically so that grid do not have scroll bars . when I run my application on different desktops it works perfectly. But when I open the application on laptop for same resolution it shows the scroll bar. Do I need to write different code for laptop and desktop for user control size or any property which need to be set to check it. one more thing Grid is set dock and user control is also set as dock in a panel So I do not wrote about anchor property.
I am having a tough time in vb.net to make the scrollbars to work of the contents of a panel.... here is my code
Private Sub HScrollBar1_Scroll(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.ScrollEventArgs) Handles HScrollBar1.Scroll Panel122.Left = HScrollBar1.Value
now, i want to change .Left to .Right, but it won't let me?
I have an application going here Form1 has a panel on it named TargetPnl. I need my TargetPnl to display my user control named Vviewer when I click my SearchBtn and also need it to disappear when I click another button.
How can I zoom in/zoom out screen display? This is to be used for people having eyesight problem. I want to control the screen resolution by percent and not to any fixed size provided in control panel/display settings.I have to control the output of the main display and zoom in/zoom out by percent, according to user's eyesight matching
My application opens pretty quick but just for looks I put the splash screen and loading has slowed down. can i decrease the normal time for which the splash screen is shown?
I am new to VB and seeking to create a visual basic program which controls the display of several on-screen elements depending on a single value input by a user. The user can enter anyone of 2500 values and depending on the value entered, five different display elements on the screen will change color or text. The program's response to a given input value never changes, in other words if the user enters 279, the five different display items will always be the same. However, there is no real pattern to the display items that would allow for programming an anticipated response to the input value.
My thinking is to create a large and ponderous "lookup table" in visual basic - I am assuming this an be done but perhaps there is a different or better method. I plan on creating the lookup file in Excel but was assuming I'd need to export it to something that VB could easily read. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Does the lookup table reside as a separate .txt files someplace or something like that? [Code]
I have 1 computer (have usb camera) and 1 laptop ( have vb.net). How I can control that camera using wireless from my laptop to other computer using vb.net.
I currently have a system that saves student data to a text file. I can search for individual students and have their information output to screen. How can I make my system output every student in the text file to screen?
I am using IHTMLElementrender.DrawToDC but when sending to a screen DC, the image is cropped by about 10%. The image is large enough and I can draw using VB Line, Print or API etc, to the area that is cropped, so it isn't the DC at fault. On any printer device it works exactly as expected. I believe this is a bug, but where can I go to report it?
im about to develop a small appliacation for a bet system, which needs 6 screens, each screen will be a touch screen for each client... the application will be running in one computer only just with 6 screens. my question is does anyone knows how to control each screen separately?. somethign that would allow me to output each forms in different screens would work fine.
I have windows 7 installed on my laptop and visual basic 2005 academic edition as well. I can use VB but when I go to run program, it compiles, links, and executes, but the output screen just shows up for about 1 second. I have tried updating my computer and manually updating VB2005, with no luck.

I'm trying to make a label control transparent over a Panel control. However by setting the background colour of the label to Transparent, it actually sees right through to the form itself, not the panel as intended.
As an example we use a panel with a background as white, we make the label transparent, however it gets the forms colour as blue. However, we are using a custom panel control and need the label to be transparent over the panel and not see the forms background.
I've got a Panel on a main Form containing a PictureBox control on Top of a TableLayout control. Both the child controls have their docking properties set to Top. The Picture control has sizemode set to Zoom.
What I'm finding is that the picture doesn't size properly when I start the app. There is a border at the top and bottom in the PictureBox control. It's only when I resize the overall form that it's correct.
So at the moment I've got this ugly bit of startup code, just to fix the problem Me.WindowState = FormWindowState.Normal Me.WindowState = FormWindowState.Maximized
is it possible to make it so that you can use a button control to initate a drag movemnt of a panel control, that way you can click it move your mouse and when you click your mouse it will move the panel to what ever location you moved and clicked your mouse?

I designed an interface which calls an executable program written in c. This program needs an input image and outputs another image which has the name: "<the same as the input one>_out". My interface has to display both images (input in picturebox1 and output in picturebox2), I've done so for the input image but now I need to get the path for the output one to display it. I know that there are functions like My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFileInfo() or My.Computer.FileSystem.FindInFiles() but I think they're useless for me, do you think so? Do you know any methods or functions to get the path of my output file? Is it possible?
