Conversion From Numeric To System.Drawing.Color In VB Express 2010?
Jun 6, 2012
Does anybody knows if it is possible to convert a numeric value into a System.Drawing.Color (or Pen) value? I need to implement the following code:MyBitmap.SetPixel(x,y,MyColor)
MYColor is a long integer and does not work because the above code needs a system color.
I want to convert html color e.g #FFFFD2 or RGB 255,255,210 to its brush color equivalent.am doing this in the listbox_drawitem event. see the sample code am using, i got from internet, buts its not working.I want to paint the listitem background with this color, but the items background gets painted white..[code]
Private Sub Timer1_Tick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick Me.BackColor = RGB(Rnd() * 255, Rnd() * 255, Rnd() * 255) End Sub
then i see this error:Value of type 'Integer' cannot be converted to 'System.Drawing.Color'
Say I had a string Dim s as string = "Color.Black" Is there a way to typecast it into a System.Drawing.Color if it is the exact name of a real color in it?
Dim oURL As Uri = New Uri(e.Uri.AbsoluteUri) Dim favicon As Image If oURL.HostNameType = UriHostNameType.Dns Then
[code]....
The error is Value of type System.Drawing.Image cannot be converted to System.Drawing.Icon Is it even possible to make the favicon be the icon of the form?
im using an MDI parent form and MDI Child. how can i print the image that's inside a picture box that's inside the Child from a button that's on the Parent?when i try to use print preview or print dialog, i can't get it to recognize that the document is the picure inside the picture box. i've looked up this error message:Value of type 'System.Drawing.Image' cannot be converted to 'System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument'.[code]
I am making a web browser using geckofx. I have put the favicon in a picture box but I have changed my mind and now I want it as the form's icon. The code for the favicon is:[code...]
The favicon works fine in the picture box but i think it will look better as an icon. If i change the line Me.PictureBox1.Image = favicon to Form1.icon = favicon I get the error Value of type 'System.Drawing.Image' cannot be converted to 'System.Drawing.Icon'. How can I get this to work?
I have a System.Drawing.Graphics g, which draw something in a PictureBox. Now I want to export this pGraphics to a new System.DrawingImage pImage (or Bitmap). But how?
Dim pImage As Bitmap Dim g As Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(b)
I have two graphics I'm trying to superimpose into one, then display in a DataGridViewImage cell...The Value property of a DataGridViewImage is an Image type.
Dim Image1 As System.Drawing.Image = imgl_Imagelist1.Images(0) Dim Image2 As New Bitmap(imgl_ImageList2.Images(0)) Dim DualGraphic As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(Image1)
I am attempting to make a browser. I have a menu drop-down where the user can choose one of a couple colors. I set up each button, panel, text, etc... as my.settings. I have tried to write the code two different ways, but neither works. How would I fix this?

I keep Getting the Error: Value of type "System.Drawing.Color"cannot be converted to 'String'.
I need to create hex color to visualize wit it a number on google earth. Moreover I would like to create a small image file that depicts the color used in google earth. so I convert hex color from ARGB to brush color This is my
dim oo=new random() Dim filecolori = New StreamWriter(dir_colori + "lista_colori.txt") Dim b = Nothing
I want to pass an optional parameter to a function of type System.Drawing.Color. The problem I am having is that when I declare the function it says "Constant expression is required" but I have tried variations of the following, including integers, full qualified indentifiers, even old vbWhite constants to no avail.
i have used this code in Vb6 to color the background and parallely added a colo selection fuctionality on right click.Now i want the functionality to be working in VB.net 2010.
I have an desktop application that references several dlls. All are targeted for .Net 3.5, x86. The applicaiton has been deployed for several years and was upgraded from visual studion 2008 to 2010 last year. I have made several changes to the app since then (as recently as last Thursday) with out any issues. Now, everything builds, but when I run the application, I get a type initialiazer error when one of the projects is loaded by the main application.
The error messsage is {"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.":"System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"}.
There were no changes to this project since the last successfuly deployment last week, but today I am getting this error.
I've decided to learn Visual Basic .Net as this is what some of my colleagues work with, and this will allow me to work with them on projects.I have purchased Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Step by Step and downloaded the sample files. When I am trying to debug the first sample application (a Windows form), it is telling me that it can't load System.Drawing V4.0.0.0. However, if I create a new Windows Form application (C# or VB.Net) this works fine.
I had a look at the References tab in the project settings and System.Windows.Forms is referenced, but the version referenced is 2.0.0.0. I have removed and re-added this reference and it stays at 2.0.0.0 and I still get the error.Does anybody have any ideas as to what may be going on?
I have a fairly lengthly block of code that I'm trying to convert from VB6 to VB.NET. The ArcObjects GIS code basically looks at a table and groups a bunch of GIS layers together and adds them to the ArcMap table of contents. I'm having trouble with this line when testing it in Visual Studio 2010: [Code]
draw individual pixels, without resorting to drawing a line and setting it's length to 1. Is there an actual ability to draw a pixel that is just 1 pixel big?
I have a program that creates a Treeview from information procured through an ODBC query and dumped into a dataset. I have three such queries set up via radial buttons as well as a refresh button that triggers whatever radial button is active at the time it's clicked. The purpose of this program is to allow drag-and-drop of selected nodes, ending with a post to the database that officially makes that change of assignment to the new node.
I made a program with Visual Basic Express 2008. I got this error message when I try to close my program after running it. (PS: It is a simple code that can login into Microsoft SQL Server)The error message shows the error was caused by the "system.drawing" (Parameter is not valid). Also, I have been trying the code in VBA (Excel). When I tried to close Excel after running my code, I got the same problem (Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and need to be closed.....) and the error report shows the error was caused by "system.drawing" as well.
I'm trying to code a program but this error repeatedly shows up and I can't for the life of me figure it out EValue of type 'String' cannot be converted to 'System.Windows.Forms.TextBox'. It appears in relation to this code
