My Application uses For...Next loops to read a spreadsheet into a DataSet and then display information from it based on the results of search conditions (search term and a date range).I'm having a problem with the data where, if I run a search that should return the first 400 rows in the spreadsheet, I'm only getting around 200 results. I know the search should return the 400 rows because I checked it in the spreadsheet before running the search.I think my problem might be caused by my date comparisons. I think the problem might be that I'm comparing String valueHere's my code:

The other grid has the users who have garment issued to them. the style number is in both grids. I need to loop through the users grid and say if the contract number is 1 from the first grid then the contract date on the second grid will be todays date + 365 days (year contract) I have looked at using a stored procedure and also a for each command but I am just getting stuck with it all. View 1 Repliesthis is in reference to my main post here update mdb with data from different tables in dataseti have two tables in a dataset called dsSource. dsSource.Tables(0) has the following columns: ,,,,,,,code,art,sizerng1,sizerng2,sizerng3,etc...... dsSource.Tables(1) has the following columns: ,,,,,,,code,art,size1,size2,size3,etc...... the conditions here are: 1) to look for "1" in columns sizerng1, sizerng2, etc. of dsSource.Tables(0) 2) match code and art on both tables finally if both conditions are valid then the size values in columns size1, size2, etc. will be assigned to columns in sizerng1, sizerng2, etc. my main concern here is i have to loop through all rows in both tables which takes a long time, so is there a better way to do this than the code i have below?.

After I fill this dataset I loop through it getting the PO number. I then take that value and execute another sql statement on the DETAIL file and fill a dataset(dtlDS) for EACH row in the parent. How do I add to this dtlDS for each row? I am getting no CHILD data in the merge. Should I be filling to a datatable and do an add.row and THEN dump into the dtlDS?
I have a model that returns a dataset to a view and builds a list. The crazy thing is that I have tested this code with IE, Safari on Mac and Windows, Chrome and Opera and all return data. However, on the iPad or iPhone, zero rows are returned from the dataset object. It seems that the model is in fact passing the dataset to the view. I am using jquerymobile to render the view for the iOS devices and have taken that out of the mix to test and it still doesn't work.

I am new to vb.net and I am trying to query a database and print out the records in the row to the console window. I got it to work, but I have a feeling that there is a more concise way to do this. One thing that I am sure is wrong is that I had to convert the dataset to a datatable to be able to retrieve the values. Is that correct? I pass it a valid dataset that has the department name and the Department id as a number..20, 40, 30..... I want to get the department number.. I pass it HR(which is in the ds.table) but I am getting an error on the rows.find() "Input string was not in a correct format" it is a string.. what else could i be doing wrong here...

I have a form with the datagridweiw object. I have connected it to the datasource and it displays the data fine. I also have set the persissions for editing. I am assuming i need a button for accepting changes to table and a button to cancel. My use for the form is to add or delete rows of data and save the changes. The database and application are both in visual basic and sql server express both 2008.

I have datagridview1 which contains data and what I want to do is get the data from first selected row then carry out MyRoutine and then do the same for the next selected row until their is no data in:
