I'm creating a search function to search through a binary file and find a record based on the users input. Surprisingly, that isn't the problem! The problem I'm having is that as part of this I'm using a procedure to display results in text boxes, and I'm getting the error "Too many arguments to private sub display customer"I've encountered this error before, but never really knew what it was... I have a folder with a whole lot of music in it (*.mp3 files.). Now on my form I can play these songs in playlists, and other extra's. But now what I want to finish it, is to create a search function. Here is a picture of my Form. And what I want to add is a Listbox, TextBox and a button.
When I type: "Eye of the Tiger" in the Textbox and click the Button, All *.mp3 files in my folder, and the subfolders, with "Eye of the Tiger" in it, are added to the Listbox (The full name, like: "Survivor - Eye of the Tiger") will show at the Listbox. How can I do this, in an easy way, if possible.
I have a datagridview with 2 columns, 1 is Batch_Number and another is Existing_Stock, there is about 6000 rows.My question is, I want to be able to write in a TextBox and hit a Search Button to search the Batch_Number column and filter out or highlight the row with the matching number to see the Existing_Stock

Im creating a filter/search for a datagridview in VB. I have a two comboboxes and one textbox. combobox1 selects a field, combobox 2 selects criteria, textbox is for values. After I select my field and criteria and enter in my value, I hit a Go button and run the following code:

Now, I found some code on MSDN which allows me to read the GAL, but I can figure out how to search. I would need to use a similar to the SQL LIKE% as there multipul exchange users with the same surname.

creating an internet filter that is supposed to interface with web browsers, eg. Explorer, Chrome (not a web browser I made) and then block specific websites on the browser. I have 1 table named Cards which have 4 feilds Question, Answer, Topic, and Source. I've got two other table which hold the lookup values for Topic and Source.On the Form I've got 2 bound listboxes for Topic and Source. I want to populate a third list box with the Question and Answer based on the records in table cards who's Topic and Source feilds match the selected items in the other 2 listboxes.

In vb2010 I started getting an error message because I was still using FileListBoxes from VB6 and now they supposedly aren't supported in 64 bit systems. So I am replacing those with ListBoxes. I got the images to load fine into the list box using the FolderBrowserDialog. but (see the snippet below), I want to filter for several image types, not just one or a generic wild card which would pull in even non-image filetypes. This language will only accept one extension wildcard parameter it seems:
(sp is a string containing the folderbrowser dialogue path)
