I am developing a vb.net windows application with crystal report and ms access. My database is stored in bin folder. I cannot bind database to report after deployment. How can I set the database location in report?

View 1 RepliesI have deployed a Visual Studio executible module written in VB Net 3.5 SP 1 with Crystal Reports. When the user tries to view a report(s)they are prompted to login in to the data base that has been data sourced into the report module. The correct database was verified before the build was made. The developer is able to run the report in a run mode on the local machine where the VB project was created. In the properties section in the project the following check boxes pertaining to reports were checked on:
Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008(x86, x64)
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Report Viewer
Notes: If the executible module is deployed to a machine that has Visual Studio 2008 installed, the Reports run fine without a database login prompt.If the executible module is deployed to a machine that does not have Visual Studio 2008 installed, the user is prompted for a login. The data base is a SQL server 2008 database.

When I run the the application I am not getting the current information from the sql database until I hit the refresh button and enter the parameter. I would like the information to be up to date when first loading the application.

I am using VB.Net and crystal Report in VS2008. On Crystal Report I have a database(SQL20005) Column "Address".
I have used "Can Grow" option for that Column to change. But it resizes Vertically. I want to change its Width as Address have different data.

I am trying to build a setup file which will install my vb.net application with database and crystal report files to the client.
1.) I created my vb.net application in release mode.
2.) I created new setup project and added my vb.net application project in that solution.
3.) Also added the primary output in application folder
4.) [dun know how to add database so] created app_data folder inside the application folder and added the database file manually from add->file
5.) [dun know how to add crystal reports so] created reports folder inside the application folder and added the reports manually from add->file
6.) Build solution.
7.) Tried deploying in client machine.
8.) Application runs fine and works great. But crystal report files doesn't. When i try to open crystal report some long error messages comes in my way.
So I would like to know is the way i am doing to add the database file and crystal report files correct? how can i make crystal reports work in client machine?
