I have a form with a binding source bind to the invoice table. I want to generate invoice report when the user selects an invoice record from the datagridview and clicks generate report. What i want is
1. how can i set the report's source to the binding source
2. can i do this using the crystal report generating wizard
3. or what articles or sites you recommend me so as to do this
I have created a crystal report with two tables, one for company details as a header and one for report details as a filler. I have been trying to get dates to filter the report and have done so successfully but the header part of the report does not show any data at all. I have binded the crystal report using a report viewer. Here is code I use to call crystal report. Lets say second table is called Company details, how do I get this information to show up with rescinded documents information. I have attached a copy fo what my final report will look like.

I want to non-configured and assign data sources as like data-grid. In the data-grid, we can configure data field name and generate data assignation in runtime. Can I do this for report or not. They were quite helpful, but I have been stuck in the first step while designing report as my custom class's property is not listed in field list of crystal report design view.[code]When I add my class objects to crystal report I do not get the usertype field from users class in field list.So how can I add usertype field to my field list? Or do I have to take another approach?The reason i wanted to use it as i am:

I don't have any idea on how I should approach this issue. I tried installing the CRRedist2008_x86 and CRRedist2005_x86 but still the problem won't go away.

Hence, I can compare the figure of the current month with the past few month.Right now, I do not have any problems building SQL_String for calculating the Total Qty Sold for the Current month and display it via DataGridView. I am trying to convert a VB6 Data Report (.dsr file) to a Crystal Report through the migration process within Visual Studio. I have read articles that reference adding a Data Report to a Project from Visual Studio 2005/2008 and that it will convert the Data Report to a Crystal Report, but I have not been successful in doing so. Does the VB6 Data Environment need to be converted too? Has anyone been able to do this successfully and if so, how?

At the moment I have the correct code for doing this, but I have it in the event handler Bindingsource.AddingNew. This event handler executes my code and THEN adds the new row. How can I get it to add then new row and THEN execute my code? Is there an event handler I can use to do this?

The problem is I added a new column in my table, I have a dataset linked to that table and a source of data of my datagridview.
Now, when I'm going to add a new column into my datagridview, I didn't find the new column which I added recently. Seems that the binding source is not updating whenever an update takes place.
I'm writing a order entry system and I'm using structures to pass information around various parts of the program for things like the order header (order date, customer name, etc).
In building the form I discovered that you could use a binding source between form controls and the struct which is great because it means alot less code on a form that will be very busy anyhow. Unfortunatly I'm either doing something wrong, or I've discovered a bug in vb.net because when you fill in a textbox and the binding source fires the setter for that attibute of the struct, it does one of two things. It either: Finds the struct that I assigned to the binding source then creates a new instance of it after it is done thus destroying any changes.Creates a new instance of the struct because it wants to rather than use the one I instructed.
I know this sounds confusing so I'm including a small program that demonstrates the problem I'm having.
