Asp.net - Add A Pdf To A Reporting Services Report After Rendering Report As Pdf?
Apr 30, 2009We are using Reporting Services to generate a purchase order, which is rendered as pdf before displaying on the screen. The report works well, as is, except that now we have to add a Terms & Conditions page to every PO. I've tried placing it in the footer, setting it to display only on the last page--this didn't work. I've also tried adding it to the body, setting the "Page Break Before" property to "true". This works, except that it looks like there is still space reserved for the header (i.e. the header's "show on last page" property is set to false). I can't get the Terms & conditions to fill the page. how I could attach or bind the pdf generated by reporting services with a pdf version of the Terms & Conditions sheet?
Note: We are using ASP & VB.NET 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, & SQL Server 2005.

Oct 8, 2011I'm currently doing a project that includes access 2010 My question will be what driver can I use for an access 2010 *.accdb type file? For a *.mdb it works perfectly well with
ConnString ="Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=" & Application.StartupPath & "\CITSDB.mdb;Uid=Admin;Pwd=123;"
But, when I changed the mbd to accdb:
ConnString ="Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.accdb)};Dbq=" & Application.StartupPath & "\CITSDB.accdb;Uid=Admin;Pwd=123;"
It resulted in errors:
ERROR[HY000][Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]Could not find file '(unknown)'.

And then it shows me that my code for

I knew it must be the driver but I don't know what accdb driver I can use for the connstring.

Jun 5, 2009I've been programming for quite a while now and started learning about databases and decided to make a program with a database with it. I made a normal log-in system, but then I don't know how to add information into the database or take out.For Ex:Create account button:
- Creates a new string in the 'Accounts' table
- Then the user can login with that information
The main idea is, I want to be able to insert and delete data from a windows form (the log-in system). And check to see the information, like when users login. Please help, I've tried so many things and don't know how to do what I want with Microsoft SQL.

Mar 2, 2010It looks like MS have removed support for nested Business Objects in their Report Viewer 2010 companant. We would like to upgrade our web app to make use of the new features, but need to maintain backwards compat for loads of legacy reports.1: We cant put anything in the GAC as we are on a hosted shared web server.2: We are in VB so dont seem to be able to use Aliases (i think a c# feature), so we cannot add the references in VS at all or we get a namespace conflict or reference already exists error.3: The report web componant dll is itself dependant on two other dlls that are also new (e.g. common.dll and processing.dll)4: The report compnant has to run in the main app domain at the moment using ExecuteReportInCurrentAppDomain) as when it accesses the business objects, they check security roles etc and this did not seem to work if the report viewer ran in a different app domain. This can probably be worked around.

Sep 1, 2011I'm building an asp.net web application using Microsoft report viewer. It connects to a SQL database using integrated security. However when I first load the report page after it has been published to the server (everything works fine locally), I get this error:
An error has occurred during report processing. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Login failed for user 'SERVER NAME REMOVED'.
The weird thing is that when I click the refresh button on the report (not IE's refresh button), it loads just fine. I know that login will not work for the database server, but why is the report viewer not using the integrated security I set in the web.config?

Mar 27, 2009i would be glad if someone would give me sugerencies of what could be a good way to represent a Checkbox List on my report. Actually im using RDLC+Microsoft ReportViewer. the solution im evaluating at this moment its to just thread them as images just capturing the checkbox list Hdc and then exportingto the report but the bad thing its that users wont be able to select stuff there and also the .PDFs im planing to create gonna be kinda heavy.
i would emulate the checkbox list with labels, but its that this project has soooo many checkboxes that its not really a good idea to make it in that way.

May 11, 2010I tried out the tutorial on [URL].. that shows how to do a simple report with the Microsoft Report Viewer control. I really like this control.I wish to further my skills on this nice tool but can't find any step by step tutorials on creating many different types of reports even if I do a Google search. I'm hoping to find tutorials on reports such as group break reports, sub-total reports, charts in the reports, drill down reports etc.
Does anyone know where I can find these? If they don't exist yet, would you create them so the community will benefit?

I have a web app and I have a report viewer in my app and it works fine in VS 2010. Once I publish and move it to my server I have issues. The report viewer is grayed out (please see the screen shot report_error.png). I am using Windows Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5. I am running it on integrated managed pipeline and the 4.0 framework. I have been digging for several hours on Handler Mappings and Config Files. I have added the Handle Mappings. According to all other forums this is the way to fix it, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
