DB/Reporting :: SQL Query Doesn't Return Right Value

it seems that this query doesnt read the begindate and only displays record with enddate.

I'm using Visual Studio 2005, and I have a datagrid connected to a table from an Access database.
I added 4 textboxes so the user can type search filters to search within the table and a "search" button.
Then, I created a query using the "add query" tool on the datagrid. I wrote it like: select field1, field2, field3, field4, field5, field6 from table where field1=? and field2 like "%"+?+"%" and field3 like "%"+?+"%"
and field4 like "%"+?+"%"
Both field5 and field6 aren't search criterias, so I didn't add them to the query. Once the query was created, I replaced the parameters inside the procedure with my textbox1.text, textbox2.text, textbox3.text, textbox4.text and then cut and pasted the whole thing inside my SEARCH button click event, so the query is executed when the user clicks on the button.
Now the problem is: when I search using the first field it goes ok, but when I try to search by any of the other fields it returns zero results, even though I double-checked I had written the words correctly. I don't know why it does this. I already tried deleting the datagrid and creating it again.[code]...

I am connecting to an Access database and using a parameter query with the LIKE operator to return all rows that match query. The string to search for is taken from a Textbox

The query does not return any data in vb, but when run from access with same string, there is data returned.The connection to the database is done correctly, as I am able to return data with various other queries.

Am I just being blind or does this If statement genuinely not do what it's meant to.[code]This displays the message box even though textSample is one of the letters. In my eyes that If statement should see that textSample is one of those letters and skip it, whereas if it was Z it would "Not" be equal to any of those and would therefore show the message box.

I use two DataGridView“s to manage my database. DataGridView2 is filled with data from a table depending on what value you select in DataGridView1. I also have a search-function so I can search for specific values in DataGridView2. In pictures below I have searched for GroupID = 1 I can also copy all the values in the DataGridView2 into the database if I want to. The data often states what kind of values to use to use during a test of a machine. Sometimes I want to copy all the parameters for one machine and use on another machine. I have added a column that is used to write down notes about the data in the table. This is the only column not copied (except the primary key column) when I press copy. Its called Tableinfo
I can then search the active table for all rows where that column is empty. When I have changed the values or just confirmed that everything is alright I have a button called "Save" that fills that column with the string "Saved" so those rows doesn“t appear next time.
Here is where the problem occurs. When I press the save button I can see that the whole column is filled with the correct value. But when i press update the first row doesnt get updated. No matter how many rows there is in the DataGridView.
If I fill in all the rows manually it works. If I press the save button and then click in the cell of the first row where is says "Saved" and then update it gets updated correctly.

I have 2 functions that need to work together.1 function is to generate a chart number. There are two combo boxes taking user's inputs to return a record in an Access Database satisfying the requirements. This procedure is controlled by a button. However, when it reads "da.Fill(dt, "NETP_ParaList")". It reports error saying that "ArgumentException was unhandled; Object is not an ADODB.RecordSet or an ADODB.Record. I have a function to recursively search through windows (and their child windows) to find specific ones, it works exactly as expected, however it causes "function doesn't return a value on all paths" warning. This is the only warning in my entire program, and although it might be silly, I'm interested in knowing if there is a way to stop this error from occurring, but still allowing the function to work properly.[code]

I am using SQLite and what I am doing is passing a simple SQL statement to the database, however I want to also return the Unique ID that the insert statement has been entered to, however I am not sure how to do this within a single SQL statement.
My code is below:

I have a method that takes in an id, a start date, and and end date as parameters. It will return rows of data each corresponding to the day of the week that fall between the date range. I have an input parameter for my stored Proc, Instead of choosing available values from a drop Dwn, the customer wants an empty input box that when left blank returns all records. the parameter type is numeric(6,0) in the Db. I have not found a way to leave the input blank and retrieve all records. my default value for all records is '-99' and also is declared as the default value for the param in the proc.

The below query fails with Null Reference Exception when there are elements in BOMIDs where MatID property is nothing.I thought the 'x.MatID isnot Nothing AndAlso' would prevent the x.MatID.Process part of the where from being executed. There are a couple elements in the BOMIDs collection that where MatID is nothing.

I would like to create a vb form with a combo box (with song title), a text box (for song lyrics), and a button (to submit or refresh). It is linked with an access database. The combo box is populated with the songTitle field in the db (this part works fine). The text box is populated with the lyrics that go to that song The first updates fine but I can not figure out how to run a query to pass to the text box's text property. I want the user to be able to select a song from the combo box, click the button, and have the text box populated with the new song's lyrics.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this, or a good place for a tutorial that explains the necessary elements for having vb query a database and return the results?
