Mar 9, 2011This has really been a problem for me in the past and with deadlines, we decided to just have the app copy the image to the server, rename it and save the link in the database. This is the worst way of saving that kind of sensitive data, I know. We now have the time to fix that.

Aug 5, 2008I am asked to write a front end program in VB 2005 (that will run in client computers which running on Win XP) to access an existing MySQL database running in Linux. It is not my preferred choice, but the user have the database and server working just as he wants it, and do not wish to change, at the same time I do not wish to change programming language. Is that even possible? Can we actually write VB 2005 programs that will run in client computers complete with NET framework 2.0 to access a Linux operating database?
