Datagridview - Cinema Script Editor - Navigate In The Grid

Im making a Cinema Script Editor in VB.net. I import some columns from excel to a database, and put this data into a datagridview to edit it. i have 2 columns in the grid, with multiline like this:
I need to navigate in the grid like if i were in Word, i mean, pressing the up or down arrow the cursor should move first in the lines of a cell, and when it reaches the cell end, it has to go to the next cell in the column. But now, if i press up or down arrow, it moves from cell to cell...
I have a few problems with making a map editor, how to make one reply and ill give you my msn well actually this problem: its not making the grid invisible if you de-deselect the option "Grid On" because the rect's have already been drawn. So I need to know how you can delete them.

We have a winform application using Oracle DataAccessClient.There is a gridview and textboxes where we when we click on a row we can populate the textboxes to show more of the data so the user does not have to scroll horizontally.The code that does this is in the cell click event. We want to also do this if the user presses the up or down arrow. We put the code in the PreviewKeyDown event but we are getting the row that had the focus rather than the row that has the current arrow pointing to it. We searched the web at a lot of forums but we can not seem to locate how to do it. How do we move the focus to the row the arrow is pointing to in the grid? [code]

I use No DirectX, No ActiveX/COM, No Intermediary file, just live video stream.I do however wish to control the ZOOM feature of the camera using the VFW API.(increase and decrease)

This does not do what I thought it would do..I think that the problem is that when it sees System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) everything stops for 5 secs .How can I make it go to google.com and then after 5 seconds, yahoo?

I have a DataGridView control that is bound to a dataset that I set up in design mode. This grid will contain addresses for a client. The relationship is 1 client to many addresses. So, when the user selects a client, I wish for this grid to populate with only the address records for that client. How do I set up in code a way for the grid to recognize this?
Is it possible to take the last row added to the grid and enlarge it for viewing? Then when another row is added it enlarges and the previous goes back to normal size. When I say enlarge, almost like a magnify effect. Am I making sense?

I have a databound datagridview.I have disabled automatically adding new rows to the grid. I generate a DataGridView using the result of a query. The query generates a LOT of columns (more than 75). Obviously the DataGridView does not show all of them. I wrote a small procedure that extracts data from the DataGridView and generates an Excel file ora .csv file.
I would like for my program to navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines and multiple url links inside of it. I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. I have a datagridview control that where I need to color the rows based on a value in one of the cells in each row. I'm using the CellFormatting event like so: [code]This works fine when the grid loads and when I scroll it, etc. But when I click on the column headers to sort the grid, e.Row Index is always zero and all of the rows get the formatting of the first row..[code]For some reason, e.RowIndex is set correctly here but not on the other methods. The only thing you have to worry about here is it can be -1. But when I tried to use other methods, including PrePaint, I had to deal with it always coming up zero on a sort. If I exclude the zero case, like I excluded the negative one case about, then the first row is always white!!! I'm not sure why this works, but it does. It also produces no flicker beyond what I got using the CellFormatting event.
I have a DataGridView that I am adding rows to programmatically.Normally, when I add the first row of data the SelectionChanged event firesBut my Grid is anchored to the top and bottom of the form and when I make the form smaller such that the height of the Grid is zero, the SelectionChanged event does not fire when adding the first rowIs this by design? I've been trying to customise a datagridview but no luck so far, thing is, i want some of the cells to not have the same grid colour and width as all the rest of the grid. I have a datagridview that's taking a while to load because my table contains almost 5000 records. How can I provide an easy way for clients to filter the grid based on a product name. I was thinking of having labels with each alphabet on my form and when they click a label it filters the bindingsource according to the chosen alphabet. this seems like an awkward solution though.

I need to display an two-column editable grid not bound to a database. I took a look at ListView with Mode=Details, but it appears that only cells in the first column can be edited. I then took a look at DataGridView, and am having two issues:
1. When editing a cell, it adds a new row: [url] How can I prevent this?
2. I don't like the grey background and would like the grid to fill the whole space, right and below.

I have a DataGridView with 3 columns (metric_key, metric_name, metric_value).There are for example, 6 ROWS in this table (6 different metrics), added programmatically (DGV is not bound in any way)
Now, when I assign values in my grid I do:
dataGridView1.item("Metric_value",0).value = "value of the metric in row 0, in the column named "metric_Value".
Im working with a DataGridView with an imported CSV file where the values are delimited with (,).. The grid works perfectly fine. My ultimate goal is to hide the grid out of view from the user and access the data in the grid based on the coordinates of the grid specified i.e (The cell in column 5, row 6 contains the value "Taco") and I want to save that value to a variable...Eventually I want to loop through all the values of a column and save them to individual variables to be later used. Note: 17 in the for loop is the amount of columns in the data i provided.. that number will never change.

This works fine. But when the grid is dropped on a TabControl tabpage, the ctrl-tab looks very different to the sub above. e.keycode is seen as controlkey {17} I realize that by default cntrl-Tab moves between tabpages. I need to override this behavior. My thought is I probably need a subclass of the tabControl which will pass the keycombo through just as the form does but I confess to being clueless as to how to accomplish that. I tried to override the onkeydown of a tabcontrol subclass and just issuing a return and not and base call to onkeydown if the ctrl-tab combo was pressed but it seemed to see the e.keycode as controlkey as well.
This has worked fine, until I set the "Enable XP visual styles" on the project properties page. With this set, the colors dissapear from the header (although they still show up correctly in the grid). If I turn the flag off, the header colors are back to normal.
