DateTimePicker - Extra Space Shown In Date On Form Load
Jun 7, 2010On form load I set my datetimepicker.value = date.now
It shows up as 6/ 7/2010
I want it as 6/7/2010
How can I get rid of that extra space?

Update The Date Shown By The Datetimepicker Everyday When The Application Starts?
Sep 1, 2009I used a date time picker but everyday the date is not updated.....i added the datetimepicker on 30th and today is 1st......but the date is not updated automtically...here is a snapshot:
Attachment 72933: after adding the datetimepicker i changed its format to custom and from its value part i deleted the time......what to do if i want to update the date shown by the datetimepicker everyday when the application starts?

Extra NotifyIcon Shown In System Tray?
Jan 7, 2011I'm having an issue with an app where my NotifyIcon displays an extra icon. The steps to reproduce it are easy, but the problem is that the extra icon shows up after any of the actual codebehind we've added fires. Put simply, clicking a button triggers execution of method FooBar() which runs all the way through fine but its primary duty is to fire a backgroundworker to log into another of our apps. It only appears if this particular button is clicked.Strangely enough, we have a WndProc method override and if I step through until the extra NotifyIcon appears, it always appears during this method so something else beyond the codebehind must be triggering the behavior. Our WndProc method is currently (although I don't think it's caused by the WndProc):

Program Crashes On Extra Space?
Jun 11, 2009I have a translator and i have everything working, but if you put a space at the beginning of the first word typed, or you have more than one space between words, it crashes and give me "System.ArguementOutOfRangeException"

Form To Filter The Datagridview Using The Datetimepicker(Date)
Mar 19, 2012I have 2 problem, on my "addnew" form i need to filter the datagridview using the datetimepicker(Date) and to sort the "EventDate" column ascending(that column is set as text on my MDB that's why it is sorted alphabetically not by month) and 1 problem on my "em" form when i click on the button("View this Event" ) or double click the selected row in the datagrid the "addnew" form will showup with the selected row in datagridview.
And lastly on the "home" form load when there is a event saved today a msgbox will appear(you have event saved today, do you want to view them) if yes "addnew" form will showup with the selected event in the datagridview.

I have no problem substracting the daydiff in numbers of days. The problem I have is that I need the DateTimePicker to tell me how many of those days are weekends (friday, saturday) and how many are weekdays.

If the user selects "Express Air" in the combo box for example, the minimum date in the date time picker must be either Today or Tomorrow. Nothing before, nothing after. How do I go about this? Feb 27, 2009When a user selects the datetimepicker, or types in the date in the text box, the calendar then highlights that date (for instance 02/02/2009) and puts the date in the text box.
If the user deletes the date from the textbox and then selects the drop down arrow again to show the calendar, the 02/02/2009 date is still highlighted. The user can select a different date or type in a date (including the highlighted one) - no problem. But if they wanted to select the same date they deleted, they cannot. No error message, it just leaves the text box blank.
Yes, it's very rare that that happens and they can highlight a different date, then go back in and highlight the 02/02/2009 date in a matter of two clicks but they want it fixed .
Not sure how I go about getting the calendar to clear the highlighted date once it has been deleted from the textbox?

How can I switch around the characters in my string so that it can satisfy the format the DateTimePicker wants? I was thinking about some kind of reader that "consumes" characters until it reaches a delimiter ("/") and then does something with it. I remember doing that in JAVA but not in VB.NET
