I am traying to use the DateTimePicker to extract days diff from a date selected on DateTimePicker1 to a date selected on DateTimePicker2. I have no problem substracting the daydiff in numbers of days. The problem I have is that I need the DateTimePicker to tell me how many of those days are weekends (friday, saturday) and how many are weekdays.

Lets say i had a label with 9/6/2010 11:59:99 that was selected from the month calendar control, is there anyway to determine how many days are from the present days date to the selected end date?
so 9/4 to 9/6 = 2 days

I have a date in the future e.g. 13/10/2008 I need to subtract the current date (today is the 28/09/2010) minus 7 days, so thats 21/09/2010 minus 13/10/2008, which would equal erm, 720 something ? But the current date won't always be 28/09/2010, obviously. I need the code for this. EDIT: When i said future I mean past :)
View 3 RepliesI have a form that collects user parameters to print a report. There are two DateTimePickers to let the user select a date range for the report. The selection of a date range is optional so I set the From picker to a date before any data could be present. If the user wants to select a date range, the from field is set to a very old date so it takes a long time to get to any current dates. Whe I'd like to do is when the user drops down the picker, reset the date to today and let the user scroll from there.I tried the dropdown even in the picker, but the new date doesn't get set until the user has already selected a date. Any suggestions on how to get this type of UI behavior? Also any better suggestions to streamline the process?The main objective it to collect from and to dates from the user is they want to select them and collect wide ranging dates if the user doesn't enter any.
View 2 RepliesI try to make a WFA for filling, reading etc. to a database. I want to compare 2 dates (actually 1 date is changed by 42 days) that are chosen by a user through a datetimepicker. After comparing the 2 dates the "newest" date has to show up in a non editable textbox. This Is my code (of course I have 2 subs for the datetimepickers as well).

Having a bit of troble with this one.Breif outline, Im making a website automation program for my business that will download CSV orders for me without logging into the website manually.
Im on a page that has an "order from" date field and an "order to" date field. Both these fields are in dd/MM/yyyy format.I would like my form to be a one click thing so i just click the download orders button and it logs in and gets the order from the date i have set. The trouble is the "order from" field wont take "todays date" It has to be set as the day before.

View 6 RepliesI am creating a booking system, I have got it all working so that a user can select a date and a time and book, there are no restrictions so 100 people could book the same date and time.
My lecturer suggested to me that to make it so that just one person can book one time on one day the user will select a date and then the page will re-load with the times selector only showing the times which are available on this date.
I have done some tutorial work similar to this, however a little more basic showing the available slots using an except operation for example allavailableslots except bookedslots, but there was no restriction on dates, so it would just show all the times which havent been booked yet full stop. I think I will use an if statement but I am not too sure, dont really know where to start...

I am using MonthCalender control in vb.net to select a date. I am able to save the selected date to DB and also retrieve and bold the previous selected date. But even though date is bolded it is not displayed when the form loads. It still highlights today's date. What Do i do to highlight the previous chosen dates. Also i want to disable choosing date range.

Writing a little program for my wife and thought it would be cool to have the calendar auto select the next day of her choice when she opens it. Example it's Monday and she opens the program to make notes about things for her girly get together every Thursday. Right now she opens it and has to select the next Thursday first to get the date.
What i thought would be cool is if the program picks the next Thursday for her, in the future the night may change to Tuesday so i don't mind hard coding the selection for now as it wont change all the time.Is there an easy calendar or date picker routine available for this or is it a roll up the sleeves, i searched and not finding anything.
if a new value of Calendar is selected, it would trigger .SelectionChanged event, but what if same selected value is clicked again? How should i identify it uniquely?
View 2 Repliesam using sql 2005 and vb 2008.i need to compare dates and select matching records betweem a selected date range.say records between 11/13/2010 and 11/20/2010.e.thing is working ok except when it comes to selecting dates between 11/1/2010 and 11/9/2010.this is happening because when am retrieving the dates from database,its being retrieved in the format 11/01/2010 instead of 11/1/2010 and so it reports no records found,and knowing the limits of sql 2005 this is the only way i can retrieve the date.
