DatetimePicker2 is not enable.I want to auto change date of DatetimePicker2 on selecting a day in DateTimePicker1 by 3 days.
Example if i select MAY ,1,2011. in DateTimePicker1 then DateTimePicker2 must show Date as MAY,4,2011.
Having a bit of troble with this one.Breif outline, Im making a website automation program for my business that will download CSV orders for me without logging into the website manually.
Im on a page that has an "order from" date field and an "order to" date field. Both these fields are in dd/MM/yyyy format.I would like my form to be a one click thing so i just click the download orders button and it logs in and gets the order from the date i have set. The trouble is the "order from" field wont take "todays date" It has to be set as the day before.

So I'm sending text with the program launchy this .vbs (addln.vbs) - ("$$" c:ideas.txt) is what the argument is if I want to send to ideas.txt for example All I want to do is make it so I get the date and time right before whatever text I send to this text file. I don't think this would be too complicated.

View 3 Repliesi am trying to insert date in dd/mm/yy format in sql table from a textbox but everytime the default date 01/01/00 goes in table.
View 19 RepliesI have a web app with a form that I am trying to pass to an ASP.NET server (using VB.NET) and then on to a MS SQL Server table. The form uses a jQuery datepicker in several textboxes and formats them as MM/dd/yyyy. The form fields are then passed through a PageMethod to the web server which takes the various field values and combines them into a SQL UPDATE command.
I am constantly getting the following error whenever I try to execute the SQL command:Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string.Here is the code on the server:
Using myConn As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(CString.ConnectionString)
myConn.Open()
Dim cmd As New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand("UPDATE table " & _
[code]....
Note: I've tried about twenty different ways of parsing the dates, converting them to dates, changing around the formats and none of it has worked.
Note 2: The conditional statements at the end are simply to prevent empty date fields from being stored in the SQL DB as "1/1/1900", but rather as an actual SQL NULL value. From debugging though, it seems that this is not the issue - it is when there is an actual value that the error is fired.
I was wondering how can I fill a column automatically in the database with the GETDATE() ?
Like when I open the database the date of that column should be GETDATE() automatically
I have been disturbed for a week now. I have a project in vb.net. And on forms I have two masked text boxes. One is for the user to enter their date of birth and in the second one Iam trying to get the date the record is created. With this one I get the current date from pc and format it to dd/mm/yyyy because I want the user to understand the date. How do I INSERT the user date of birth and the the Now () date which is also in masked text box into a MYSQL database? I know how to insert other text but the date fails to appear in database.

Insert date to SQL Table?

View 2 RepliesI have an SQL database, and 50 text files, and Visual Basic 2010 Premimum,I need to find a specific line of text in the text files and then take the next 37 lines of text and save them in my database. I need advice as to point me in the right direction
View 2 RepliesThe problem that I'm having is that when I try to select a different date, the text doesn't go away. That may make no sence, but let me tell y'all what I've done.
1: Created a GroupBox
2: Put a DateTimePicker in the GroupBox
3: Put TextBoxs in the GroupBox
4: Changed the DateTimePicker to look like this:
A)Checked - False
B)Allow Drop - True
I thought that if I changed that, then the text in the text box would go to that specific date. It didn't do that, it just stays the same. What I'm trying to do is enter text in say 3/7/11 and when I choose date 6/12/12 it will display blank text boxes for me to enter something different.
I am using VB 2008 and have a datetime picker. I wam trying to use this value in an INSERT command to load in to a table but I just can't get it to work. I debug it out which shows something along the lines of "24/03/2010" but it just won't accept it. However, if I create a string variable e.g. strDate = "24/03/2010". it works. I am obviously doing something wrong in the conversion.
View 4 RepliesHow to insert record date in my access db. I am using hdate as my field and his data type is short date
Here is my code
cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO hold ([hdate], des) VALUES (#" & myDate & "#, '" & TextBox1.Text & "')" cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO hold ([hdate], des) VALUES (#" & datetimepicker1.text & "#, '" & TextBox1.Text & "')" cmd.CommandText = "INSERT INTO hold ([hdate], des) VALUES (#" & DateTimePicker1.Value.Date.ToShortDateString & "#, '" & TextBox1.Text & "')"
But none of them insert on the table. The record will view on the datagrid but not on the physical table.

I'm using ASP.NET/VB and I'm trying to insert a date and time into an Access date/time field, but I'm getting an error (Data type mismatch in criteria expression). Here's a simplified version of my code:
Dim myDate As Date = Now()
Dim myIns1 As New OleDbCommand("INSERT INTO tableCourse (date_submitted) VALUES (?)", myConn)
myIns1.Parameters.AddWithValue("@myDate", myDate)
myIns1.ExecuteNonQuery()
Not sure why I'm getting the error, and not quite sure if this is even the correct way to approach inserting the current date. From looking at other similar questions it appears there are a few different ways to do this, but my technical knowledge is kind of limited so I'm having a hard time figuring it out (in other words deciphering the answers that use technical terms I know nothing about).
