I created 2 forms. 1 is the main form and another is monthcalendar form. When I clicked on a button in Main form it will like to another form which is MonthCalendar form. When I click on the date in MonthCalendar. How can I display the selected adte in textbox which is in the Main form?

Actually it means that whatever what date i choose within the current month, the two textbox will display the last three months date.
For Example, Current Month is November 2009 , Textbox 1 will show 01/08/2009, Textbox 2 will show 31/10/2009.
Another example is Current Month is January 2009, Textbox 1 will show 01/10/2009, Textbox 2 will show 31/12/2008.

I have no problem substracting the daydiff in numbers of days. The problem I have is that I need the DateTimePicker to tell me how many of those days are weekends (friday, saturday) and how many are weekdays.

I have a textbox that get the date from the system itself, is working good and I have another textbox that will get the date that the person needs to bring the Book back. I wont the person to type the date but the program do it automatically (something like 20/04/2009 + four days=24/04/2009) automatically, something like if the person took the book on todaydate(20/04/2009) the function add more 3 days and display on textboxreturn( 24/04/2009). I have a form that collects user parameters to print a report. There are two DateTimePickers to let the user select a date range for the report. The selection of a date range is optional so I set the From picker to a date before any data could be present. If the user wants to select a date range, the from field is set to a very old date so it takes a long time to get to any current dates. Whe I'd like to do is when the user drops down the picker, reset the date to today and let the user scroll from there.I tried the dropdown even in the picker, but the new date doesn't get set until the user has already selected a date. Any suggestions on how to get this type of UI behavior? Also any better suggestions to streamline the process?The main objective it to collect from and to dates from the user is they want to select them and collect wide ranging dates if the user doesn't enter any.

I am creating a program that will use sql 2008 as a back end and have run into an issue passing the date from the program to the database, where the date is also listed as 1900-01-01 in the database.The data type in the database is smalldatetime and i am trying to only display the date.If i change the datatype to date in the database i get the error that "sqlunhandled exception: Operand type clash: int is incompatible with date" Ideally id like to display the date in a dd/mm/yyyy format.[code].........

I am trying to parse a date from a textbox and store it in a date variable

enddt is a Date variable and when i convert enddt_2 to a string i get the error as
Conversion from string "17/01/2012" to type 'Date' is not valid.
Let me clarify, if a value in textbox is 17/01/2012 than after parsing the value is changed to 01/17/2012 (my systems Region and Language are dd/MM/yyyy) in enddt_2 and when i try to convert to dd/MM/yyyy format and store into a date variable i get the above error. This error comes only for the dates after 12. i.e a date variable accepts a date in MM/dd/yyyy format.The dates before 12 work fine, i.e for all dates from 1 to 12 there is no error.How can i make enddt store the date in dd/MM/yyyy format.

View 10 RepliesI am creating a booking system, I have got it all working so that a user can select a date and a time and book, there are no restrictions so 100 people could book the same date and time.
My lecturer suggested to me that to make it so that just one person can book one time on one day the user will select a date and then the page will re-load with the times selector only showing the times which are available on this date.
I have done some tutorial work similar to this, however a little more basic showing the available slots using an except operation for example allavailableslots except bookedslots, but there was no restriction on dates, so it would just show all the times which havent been booked yet full stop. I think I will use an if statement but I am not too sure, dont really know where to start...

I am using MonthCalender control in vb.net to select a date. I am able to save the selected date to DB and also retrieve and bold the previous selected date. But even though date is bolded it is not displayed when the form loads. It still highlights today's date. What Do i do to highlight the previous chosen dates. Also i want to disable choosing date range.

when clicking a button, the current date is inserted into a textbox and the focus is transfered to the textbox.
the problem is that Textbox15.focus() select the text inside the textbox. i wish to give that control the focus but place the cursor at the end of the text, with no selection.
