I managed to display user input (stored date in sql ) in vb.net text box but time is still showing with the date . the code that u gave me i am getting error on (my.computer) How to display date only in textbox. I parsed the convert statement in sql query analyzer n it is working right in sql but not only in vb.net .

For example, today is 05/11/2009, I have two text box.
Actually it means that whatever what date i choose within the current month, the two textbox will display the last three months date.
For Example, Current Month is November 2009 , Textbox 1 will show 01/08/2009, Textbox 2 will show 31/10/2009.
Another example is Current Month is January 2009, Textbox 1 will show 01/10/2009, Textbox 2 will show 31/12/2008.
May I know how the vb.net code should look like?

I am creating a program that will use sql 2008 as a back end and have run into an issue passing the date from the program to the database, where the date is also listed as 1900-01-01 in the database.The data type in the database is smalldatetime and i am trying to only display the date.If i change the datatype to date in the database i get the error that "sqlunhandled exception: Operand type clash: int is incompatible with date" Ideally id like to display the date in a dd/mm/yyyy format.[code].........

enddt is a Date variable and when i convert enddt_2 to a string i get the error as
Conversion from string "17/01/2012" to type 'Date' is not valid.
Let me clarify, if a value in textbox is 17/01/2012 than after parsing the value is changed to 01/17/2012 (my systems Region and Language are dd/MM/yyyy) in enddt_2 and when i try to convert to dd/MM/yyyy format and store into a date variable i get the above error. This error comes only for the dates after 12. i.e a date variable accepts a date in MM/dd/yyyy format.The dates before 12 work fine, i.e for all dates from 1 to 12 there is no error.How can i make enddt store the date in dd/MM/yyyy format.

View 4 RepliesI have a database I am creating with about 50 users over a network. There are about 6 groups of users and these users are spread across 10 branches. I want to block/allow users from particular forms and views. For example I want branch users forms to be filtered by their branch number but depending on the group they are in they can only see some forms. i.e. 50 users, 10 branches, each branch has about 5 ppl of where 1 is in group A and 4 are in group B. I want all users that belong to branch 1 to see the information they enter, but Group B enter data but cannot approved or delete, and group A can enter, approve and delete. So then. On my login form I have the user type his/her username but the i want LEAVE function to update 2 textbox where I have named GroupName and BranchNo. Basically to run a query and look for the username and return in one textbox that user's groupname and the other textbox the user's branch no. This information will be used to filter forms and block the user from certain controls. This is the code I have so far but still can't figure how to display the results.

the above query is displaying a next date 26/02/2009 in the textbox, but it is taking a some second to display. There is any way in program itself getting a last value of the row (date) in datagridview and display the next date.
