Displaying Image In Report, But If Textbox Is Empty Repeats Last Image?
Sep 5, 2010I have a report that i'd like to display an Image for each record. But not all records have an image. The problem I have is that the last image is then repeated in the next record.
I would like to know how to have any empty field display a default image.
Code I have in report

Apr 9, 2010I am using vb.net running a backend MS.Access database and I am wondering what is the code that I can use to display a picture of an image when the field name is selected.My MS Access "field" name is Cars_Types: in the files I have the data "GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, and Ford". The name of my database is ModelCars.accdbThe pictures are not coded into the database instead I would like them to be coded into the VB.NET program.

Jan 14, 2009I have a forms app that contains a panel. This panel contains an picturebox - the user can then drag the picturebox image.
I need to add an image? in the panel that will not move when the user drags the picturebox image.
This image? needs to be transparent so that the picturebox image can be seen though it when drag occurs.
I've tried drawing directly on to the panel but nothing appears. Perhaps what I am drawing is behind the picturebox?

Jun 12, 2009I am using a PictureBox to display images. I have SizeMode set to StretchImage. While this does indeed show the whole image, it is of coure stretched. Is there a way to prepare the image to be displayed so it will fit correctly in the PictureBox? I just want it displayed without distortion and within the box.

May 4, 2011I have a .net 4 form application. On a button click event, I want to open a form that has a GIF image in a webbrowser control, that says please wait. Then it opens a second form that has a datagridview that is being populated from a SQL query. Then I just hide the wait form. The reason I have resorted to this method is that sometimes it takes a while to display the results from with datagridview depending on what the user selected previously. The issue that I am having is the wait form displays but the GIF does not show up. If I make the application wait by using the following code the GIF show up like it supposed to until the timer runs out. At that point the image stops moving but is still present.

My original intent was to use the show method to display the results form and then hide the previous form, but sometimes the previous form would close before I could display the results form.

Mar 5, 2012i have developed a windows application whose interface has multiple picture boxes panels with background images for rich look and also a usercontrol which contains a gridview and WPF scrollbar in an element host. All these controls are placed in one panel (this is also having a background image) which is equal to the size of windows form. The reason for placing all these controls in the panel is that the window can be resized, if needed, allowing scrollbars.
Due to these large number of controls in which some of them have transparent backgrounds loaded in a large panel having background image, the window is flickering when moved or any other application's window is moved over it.

Feb 26, 2010I'm developing an application in VB.Net (VS2008) which allows the creation of classroom layouts. The layout is a panel and has child panels (seat objects) the seats are then populated using drag and drop and show a preview of the person sitting there.
I would like to export this panel to a printable format such as jpeg, pdf etc.I have tried using the CopyFromScreen but I can't get this to only output the layout panel. (some of the panel could be off the screen at the time of export)I have also considered using HTML outputting each seat as an absolutely positioned div container. Then printing the HTML page.

VS 2008 Image Flickering As Panel Moves?
Dec 5, 2010I have quite an annoying problem and I don't know how to fix it. See I have several panels in one of my forms, all with background images. On the start of the application, the form slides down, and when the form reaches a set value, all my panels slide out.The problem is, when the panels are sliding, they flicker furiously! It's really annoying and I'm not sure how to fix the problem. When the panel reaches it's set value and stops moving, the flickering stops. I can only assume it's because of the background image
