Is there a way to prepare the image to be displayed so it will fit correctly in the PictureBox? I just want it displayed without distortion and within the box.

Jul 25, 2010The new issue is that the knife item gets added to the listbox, but when I click on it...the picture isn't displayed in the picture box, and the description isn't displayed in the rich text box. I have the image path and name correct. I have no idea why the description isn't going in the text box.

I can only make the gradient appear if i click the picture box after the form appears.

Sep 15, 2010I have a Picturebox and a two Buttons on my Form. On click of one of the buttons I want to change the image in the picture box at runtime.
This works fine when I give the location of the image (the full path ) on my computer - but then of course it will not work if I use the solution on a different computer .
So I have made a folder named "Pics" inside my application and added two images into it.
How do I get to this local folder in the following code?
Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile (??? )
instead of the usual,
Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile ("C:UsersMyName My PicturesMyPicture.jpg" )

Oct 24, 2010Just moved a .NET 2.0 App from VS2005 to VS2010 and noticed that now when a window containing a WebBrowser tries to retrieve a pdf it thows out an error (unknown file type System.Byte[]). This would usually indicate that Acrobat Reader has not been installed - but open up IE9 and enter the link into the address bar and the PDF displays in the browser without any incident!
Should point out that the app created in VS2005 and installed on Win 7 (actually Server 2008 R2 in 'Workstation Mode') has the same issue.. All works fine in XP and below... Do seem to remember this on a Vista box, but put that down to Acrobat not being installed!
