2. Does the reader just read the numbers added to the buttom of the bar code? so with that i could look an item up in a database?
I want to make a littel program where there is a start buttom and a stop buttom. now when you press the start buttom the cd drive goes out and in and out and in and so on! and when you press the stop button the cd drive goes in and stays in "maby close the program to!
Now i have already made a program whre you can open and close the cd drive by pressing buttom 1 "open" and button 2 "close" but you have to keep pressing the button! can any one help me i will be realy glad!

I am trying to use the eID SDK (for using the belgian ID-card) in VB. It's supported but I can't get it to work. I have never worked with sdk's before. I did manage to get it to work in c++ in console but I really need it in visual basic. Also the VB examples that come with the sdk are made in an older version of visual studio and when my version tries to convert them they don't work. I want to use the sdk to see when a card is inserted into the reader and to read out the data. (both i got to work in c++ console).

From few days I am doing efforts to read web pages using webbrowser control in my desktop application. But it is very slower than my expectations(because I want to read lots of pages in minutes and browser control reads almost one page in 5 to 10 seconds), what I need is to read two or three tags written in web page.
So finally I decided to use something, which can give me only source code of page. I think StreamReader will help me to read it. I am not sure if it is flaxible with my purpose, or something else is there which can give me only html source code of web page.
I have written this code to read html code, but it gives error.

I am trying to make my application read data from a file. Then save the data back. However I keep getting an error which says the file is still open so cannot be edited. I also read that there is an issue with the streamreader and streamwriter do not close the program straight away. I was wondering if anyone had a way around this or any alternative ideas. I'm using ASP.net 4.0 VB,I am using a session variable to add a user entered code into the url of each page. I can get the code to show up at the end of the page's URL that my textbox is on, but what do I add to every page to make sure that the session stays at the end of every URL that person visits during their session? I've more or less finished the design of the interfase, but there are stange this happening with the form. I can say much about what is wrong because I dont understand it, but I would like to. I have added the form Class code and the Designer Code, is that enough or is more required? Theres a msgbox that popup in the form Load event which I placed there to see what I could learn about the GraphicsBuffer.

I am using Visual Studio 2005. I am using a data reader to read an Excel spreadsheet and want to update a SQL Express table. The datatypes in this table mimic a software application I will eventually be passing data to and are listed in the comments in my code. No matter what I do or change, this will not run. I even populated my spreadsheet with zeros and this will not run. I have found many suggestions on the web and tried changing things but nothing seems to work. I also don't know specifically which variable is causing the error or the proper way to make sure there are no blanks in this spreadsheet.The error says "conversion from string "" to 'Double' is not valid Here is my code:

I have two datagridviews in my app. They're related. When there is no record in the parent datagridview, I select the "New Row" and then press the Add Button in the child datagridview's bindingnavigator. Then I get that exception:
InvalidOperationException: Item cannot be added to a read-only or fixed-size list.
I know why this happens.When I add new record to child datagridview, parent datagridview's new row loses focus and then delete row. So this error occures.How do I prevent my program from this exception. Remember, it's only occures if there is no record in the parent datagridview.

Requirements are Foxit Reader should be installed on machine.Now if it is installed how to serarch for the path of its Executable to provide the parameter as I can not hardcode the path for different machines.
