The dataset 'DIID" field is obviously an integer.

View 2 RepliesI am using VS2008, vb.net, Windows forms project.I have a combo box control on a tab control.The selected value of the combo box is bound to a binding source.The data source of the binding source is a typed dataset.I set the datasource of the binding source when a record is chosen in a data grid control.Since the combo box is bound to the binding source, this should set the selected value of the combo box, and fire the initial SelectedIndexChanged event.Therefore, I remove the SelectedIndexChanged event handler for the combo box before I set the datasource of the binding source, and add the handler again after the datasource is set.
View 2 RepliesI have a form with 8 combo boxes and would like to disble certain combo boxes, depending on what was selected in another combo box. The reason is so the user will not have a blank return on a query. The first form I created like this worked great, no issues. This form only allows one combo box (Number_of_Lightheads) to disable any others. Below is the code I have for this Form. why the other combo boxes will not disable the ones that are called out in the code?

I would like to be able to enable one of the dgvs based on the value of the curr_player variable. I'm reluctant to to write select case for each time I want to do this so the question is can I enable one of these objects based on that variable?

I am trying to put in scripts for google analytics in my code. But I want it to run only if the environment is production and not in dev or qa. This javascript runs at page load itself and I am confused how to make it run conditionally. My app is an asp.net app.
Javascript is always confusing to me. There are many other javascripts in the page and I just need to disable this one. Had it been a .net code/function I would check for the environment and conditionally run the function. But I am confused about how to accomplish this type of functionality with javascript

View 1 RepliesI want to enable a photo in the upper right section of a Windows Form, but I can't figure out the way to set a photo to visible when one of the tab pages is selected.Right now I have it set up as a visible = true when the tab page is clicked (the tab page itself not the tab button). What I want it to do is become visible when the tab button is clicked.
If this is still confusing I can expand more. Not sure what more you need.
Edit: I'm trying to do it without placing the photo within the tab page.
I have a listview control (lstBasket), and I want to only enable a button when the user selects an item.. If there is no item selected then the button (cmdRemove) is disabled. My program is required to remove/change the item when they select it and clcik remove. Either that or a try and catch, that will stop it from throwing errors when there is no item selected.

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to add some extra key/value pairs to a combo box using VB.NET. The initial item list is generated from a hashtable, which contains a collection of objects.I've managed to add the extra values to the box using the Add method, however I now run into problems when reading back the selected item from the combo box because some list items are objects, while others are strings.
My best option seems to be to load the initial data as key/value pairs by looping through the hashtable, however this doesn't seem to be working too well either because I'm still getting errors.I'm getting frustrated because it's taking me hours to do something that should take 5 minutes!
In my below forms, the user select a name from the combo box list and enters an amount for the name selected. The user can enter as many entries. Every time the total button is clicked, I would like the total for each person to be display on the labels.

I cant see why this is happening, causing a lot of trouble.

i have a form with 3 combo boxes. The value of the combo boxes generates a sql query with 3 parameters. The sql generates a RDLC report.
For example:
Combox1 with values(v1,v2,v3,ALL)
Combox2 with values(v1,v2,ALL)
