I have made an click event for a button which creates buttons dynamically and I added events to the dynamic buttons by using addhandler but it says it the button is not declared. Here is the code for dynamic buttons:

My process is as follows:I access a database table to determine what questions to ask (20-100 questions).Each question is display along with, possibly, a "done" button.My code to do this is as follows:

Two problems:1. My sub is never being called, so I can only assume that my "addhandler" is not working.2. QCC_Q_ID = e.ToString.... That doesn't seem right - is it? What I need to do is get the name of the button (btn_second13) and get just the number out of that (13). Is there any easier way to keep track of that ID?
I have VB 2008 Express and I am also new to VB. My problem is I cannot find any assistance with creating an Event that is attached to a Control that I inserted on a dynamically creeated TabPage. I call the "create_tab" sub (below) that creates a New TabPage and add some Controls (Button, two textboxes). Now, that I have the TabPage (and there could be multiple), I want to bind an Event to these items. So when a user Clicks on the Button in TabPage1, for example, a Sub executes where I can manipulate the data contents of the textboxes. Here's My code that creates the tabpages dynamically.

View 1 RepliesI can usually find the answers to most of my questions via the Google Gods, but not this time.I have a form that has a TabPageControl and on that page a collection of labels and text boxes via a usercontrol.
On the form I have a button that allows the user to create a new tabpage, when the code adds a new page, it automatically adds the UserControl collection. I can't get my head around how to access the objects on the newly created tabpage.
What I need to be able todo is take the index of the tabpage that has focus and translate that against the UerContol name, but I havn't a clue how to do it!

I have made a program wherein you the labels are dynamically created with a press of a button. if you press on the label, the label would then change color from white to blue. my problem is that how will you make the backcolor of the label change when the button3 is pressed.

I have a form that I am adding a set of buttons to. I am adding an event to those buttons. I need this event to function slightly to determine what button was pressed.
I need the button to simply set a string variable equal to the clicked buttons text so I can determine what button was pressed.

As you can see, when I open a program from my menu, a new button will be created with text similar to this, "C:Program ". The button it self will not do anything. They are added correctly to the form when I test it.Checkboxes can be checked or unchecked correctly.
But my problem is this:I want to use events mouseclick or mousehover with those checkboxes.
I have a form with a textbox to enter a number and a button called "Create". When a user enters a number and clicks create the form gets populated with the number of buttons entered in the textbox and the title of the buttons are labeled by consecutive numbers. For example if you enter 5 the form will populate with 5 buttons labeled button1, button2, ...button5. When you click on these newly created buttons a messagebox will popup stating the buttons name. I have been successful in creating the array, positioning each and entering the images for all 104 PictureBoxes, but now I want to add code for the event "MouseDown.I copied the code for this event from my VB3 program and VB10 automatically updated the list of parameters, but nothing has linked the objects (Card) to the code.
I have tried to append "Handles Card.MouseDown" as well as several variations with brackets to indicate that it is an array.Auto-complete doesn't include "Card" as an option, and of course, since the array was never an object added to the form design, I can't create the empty module from there.

The number of questions, choices, and answers is all variable. Thus I am attempting to create labels dynamically to show the information on the screen and create textboxes to leave comments. What I am trying to do is dynamically create a bunch of dropdown lists and then I want to loop through them and update the database with those values, but the problem I am facing is that I create the dropdown lists, but then when I go back to loop through them they are no longer in the panel. I don't know why but when I am debugging I have a count of 50 controls in pnlTeacherSelect right up until I press the button that calls prcChoose.

Using ASP.Net MVC1 and am dynamically creating the html in a model that is then dropped into the view and rendered at run time.

Is it is possible to perform validation on the dropdowns lists to ensure that a value has been selected? If any of the dropdownlists that still have the default value (the "please make a selection" text) the page is then redisplayed with the font colour of the question or dropdownlist box changed to say red?
I'm from the Webforms world and have made the switch over to MVC (which I really like!) and I know there are some pretty slick validation tools out there but you seem to have to account for them within the view itself.
I cannot pass a HTML helper through the viewdata of the controller as it does not render unless it has been coded directly into the view itself.
Also, I'm looking for a pure asp.net solution as I cannot use javascript due to accessiblity concerns. I can access all the values of the dropdowns without any problems throug the formscollection object but from there I'm a bit stuck.
