I have a requirements in "Windows form exe" that when we click on the exe, the data from the Oracle database should be exported to another Oracle database and also the data that has been exported should be emailed with excel attachments to intended recipents.
I searched but couldn't get the code as such and also i am not able to implement the functionality.
Newbie here I need to send a email with and attached file (a *.xls file) The condition is that the e-mail need to be signed and crypted. I already got a digital certificate sign (provided by Verisign). I also read something about X509Certificate2 Class on MSDN, and something about Outlook interop Model. My idea was use the Outlook Interop Model Class (from Outlook 2007) but i have no idea how to do this.

email it generates. The attachment is a PDF document. Due to requirements I am
unable to save the PDF and send it, so I have had to create a memory stream attachment.
The issue I have with this is that the file size is _500KB. However save the file on my machine and it is around 370KB.
This increase in file size is unacceptable. has anyone come across this issue before? If so how have they got round the problem.

First off, I would like to say that I'm sorry for having to ask a programming site where to find a download for the outlook reference (msoutl9.olb) that is supposed to be in my C: drive. but I just joined and this community is pretty helpful so I thought I would ask.
My problem come about when I try and use Dim olApp As New Outlook.Application Dim olMail As Outlook.MailItem
It tells me that I need to add references and I went to Tools and the References option was greyed out so I could not click it. I have no idea why this would happen so I googled many topics relating to references in access and vba. After about 2 hours of researching I had gotten nowhere. But I did learn that I am missing this file that is supposed to come with Microsoft Access (msoutl9.olb).
I have searched around and found nothing relating to downloading this file. Do I have to redownload Access or can anyone give me a link to download this file? Also, if there is another way to get around using the Outlook.Application portion of my code I would love to learn how.

I need to be able Import and Export data from my database in the app im developing. I have been having trouble finding the proper way to do this. I have to assume some of the people using this wont have Office installed so this process as to be able to work on its own. Im using Visual Basic Express with SQL server 2008. I am trying to extract a saved image from a database and then attach it as a image to an email. I can get the image saved into a Bitmap object but attaching it is not going so well. Here is what I got:

I have tried several variations so the code might be convoluted, but basically I am putting the image into a byteArray and Bitmap (which was something added later on) but also trying use the Mail library to attach the image but also have the image referenced within the html body of the email in which it will be embedded. The attachment part seems to work - some what - but the image itself is not getting attached.

I am trying to retrieve an attachment from a lotus notes email using the EmbeddedObjects array off of a NotesDocument object. In my test, I've set up an email with an attachment and am trying to process it. The HasEmbedded property of the NotesDocument object is returning true however the EmbeddedObjects array of the NotesDocument object is always nothing (null). Why is the EmbeddedObjects array always nothing?

While there are legitimate reasons to send bulk email, one must be sure to follow all the applicable rules. This means following RFC 2821 and forming properly crafted email messages. In the US, it also means complying with fedral law regarding the sending of unsolicited email (express permission must be captured through direct user initiation e.g. user's must choose to check the box to receive your email), and that means including a removal instruction as well as valid contact information.
To that end, here is an example program for sending a mass email to a list of recipient addresses located in a database. The code only cares about recieving an array of DataRow objects, so any database for which you can fill a DataTable will work.

I haven't done any VB coding since school (15 years ago) but currently have a need to run what "sounds" a fairly simple app at work. I'm hoping some of you might be able to give me some pointers as to whether or not my idea is possible, and if it is, how best to approach it.
I work for a company where we send a number of standard emails to potential clients asking them to contribute to our magazine . if no response we then send a number of follow up emails. each and every time I send a new email to a new prospect I'm editing one of our template emails, putting their name and email address into outlook and manually sending emails. Then for every reminder I'm going back into outlook, clicking reply all and then c&p'ing our second or third reminder emails in each and every time. needless to say at least 2-3 hours of my day are spent editing and resending the same emails on outlook.

It was working earlier today but I found out that i needed to add Using statement because the email was having a file open that had to be deleted after it was sent but afterwards it doesn't work.

I have a form in my project with a textbox that contains a unique computer ID number for the user. I want the user to click a button, which will open my website, and then populate the value from my software into a corresponding computerID form on my website.
The form on my website is just a paypal form that I built using paypal's website builder. It has a buy it now button and a textfield for computer ID. I need to know the computerID so that I can send the user the correct activation code.
Is there any way for me to accomplish this? All I have so far is just opening my site:

What I want is to be able to launch an email from VB in the same way that MAILTO: does from a browser. ie. it launches an email from whatever the deault client is.One of the posts on here (linked from the FAQ) mentioned to use MAPI, but the problem is that I can't figure out which 'imports' I need to use.
Googling around I can find lots of excamples of MAPI code, but none mention the imports. If I just paste the code into my VB form it just says that the names are not declared.Another post indicated that these weren't functions from an import, but rather I had to add a MAPI componant of some kind from the toolbox onto a form - but I can't find any MAPI things in the toolbox either...
