May 25, 2009I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I'm still writing this, and changing it constantly. )the question is, "How do I get the computer to link the textbox integers to the resources files? Textbox = "1", "4", "6" to My.Resources.1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12

Sep 17, 2010I need to convert hex values aa 01 00 17 f4 2f (as contained in byte array FrameData) to display in a label control as AA:01:00:17:F4:2F
HexDump(FrameData(2)) converts the aa (which has been converted to Decimal 170) into 31 37 30 !
similarly I need to convert hex data ('02 00' contained in byte array FrameData) as
0x0200."0x" & FrameData(1) + FrameData(2) displays the data as 0x20. How would I convert the '02 00' hex data to display as 0x0200?
VS 2008 Format Values In A Datagridview Control?
Apr 3, 2011I'm using vb.net 2008 and I want to be able to format the way numeric values are displayed in the datagridview control.
My datagridview control is being populated from data stored in sql server 2008, what I am after is for a value to always show 2 decimal places, even if the number is a whole number. e.g. '1500' to display as '1500.00'.
I have already tried using the following commands in my sql statements:
CONVERT(MONEY, Value) AS Value
CONVERT(DECIMAL, Value) AS Value
But this doesn't seem to display correctly in the datagridview. for 1500 I get 1500.0000 and 1500

My underlying DataTable contains values that are formatted when displayed in my DataGridView.For example, if the DataColumn contains 1.52 and the DataGridViewColumn.DefaultCellStyle.Format = "n0" then 2 is displayed.So the user sees 2, then sets the DataView.RowFilter = "DataColumn = 2", and no DataRows are returned. Is there a way to format the DataColumn in the RowFilter string? For example, DataView.RowFilter = "FORMAT(DataColumn, "n0") IN (2, 4)". This filter string should return 3 rows. If not, can LINQ do this?

This is what I have been doing so far:

Asp.net - Converting Values Of Java.util.list To String Or Other Normal Format In Vb?
Mar 14, 2012in my application, I am pulling in items from a microsoft project file using mpxj - one of the items I need is the predecessors. The way I am able to pull the predecessor is using a build in function of mpxj which returns a type of java.util.list - I can save this to variable as an object, but I need to find a way to bring the data to a format I can easily use so I can store it into a database. Listed below is the line of code I am using to pull the predecessors from the project file.

and here is the result when putting a tracepoint in to get the value of predecessors

Even if I could get the above as a string, I could work with it enough to get the data I need. The above example is where there is 1 item in the predecessor list, but sometimes there are multiple items. Here is an example of the tracepoint when there are multiple items.

Sep 21, 2011After experimenting around with DevExpress controls and adding them to my form, Custom mask do not seem to work on the MaskedTextBox. If I place a custom mask and debug, I get a null reference exception.
It seems to be the maskedTextBox's mask property that is doing this. I have tried setting the mask through design and by code. However, neither way works.
My question is, is it possible to use a TextBox as a maskedTextbox? To be able to format it? I need the user to enter in hours, minutes, seconds like hh:mm:ss or 00:00:00.
Here's the error I get:
