I am creating a little form that shows files (on my computer) in a listbox and well i am wanting to be able to click on one of these files in the listbox and hit the delete button and delete it off the listbox and off my computer how can i do this?

The associations that ARE tied to the product are shown in a tabcontainer with delete imagebuttons next to them. When I was testing earlier I noticed that the associations that I delete from the tabcontainer don't show up in the modal unless I click on the refresh button in my browser. Is there some code I could use that would make it so that when I click on the delete button, it will automatically refresh my Modal so that I won't have that extra step? [code]

VB.net 2008 express This is what I have so far, and it loads a list of files from a text file. Now I need to be able to delete them all from a certain drive and all sub folders in it. For instance I push the delete button and it goes through the entire list and deletes all the files in it from the designated drive and all it's sub folders.

View 1 RepliesI have a login screen (frmLoginScreen) which links to a main menu (frmMainMenu) then to another form (frmUserDetails). Their are two possible usernames. The first one the user logs in as Admin and the password is 4321, then the second one is Guest and no password. This is the code I have so far:

I have a listbox that when you click on the item it displays a picture in a picture box and a message in a label. It works fine when an item is manually selected, but I want forward and back buttons that will do this. It works once but it doesn't highlight the new item in the listbox, so it gets stuck. I can't use a loop either.

I have a small doubt here. Actually on my current windows form, on the button click, I want the user to be given an option to choose a picture, a sound and text.What I have been able to do is to use the Open File Dialog to choose a picture OR sound OR button on Click event. I am in development mode VB 2005 Pro in WinXP, I have a command button called Button2, with some code in the Click event. I Cut the button and immediately Paste it onto a Group (ie. Is there a way to prevent the Enter key from being interpreted as a button click.
I am trapping key strokes at the form level but if a button has the focus and the ENTER key is pressed I cannot trap the enter because the button consumes it as a button click event. I am also unable to trap the enter key in any of the button's key events.
I am interfacing with magtripe swipe and barcode readers that send their information as keystrokes with a CRLF at the end. I have a work around by chaning the focus to a textbox anytime keystrokes are detected but I am hoping for better control.
Is there a way to disable the buttons ability to do this?
Is it possible to have multiple click events for a button based on the button text? In other words, if I change the button text can i create a new click event based on that text but use the same button?
for example:
button1.text starts as "steel"
button2.text starts as "brass"
If I click button1 then the text would change to:
button1.text="Stainless"
button2.text="Cold rolled"
If I click button1 again a string would then be added to a textbox and the process would start over again. can I have a different click event or would I need to put an If/Then or Select/Case in the sub to handle this? I have 10 buttons I would need to do this with and each needing at least 3 different choices for each depending on the previous button press.
