I have a form with full of objects & fix in 1020 & 800 screen solution, but if I set screen solution to 800 x 640 (to see more clear other applications) then my form show mising the right & bottom parts
1. Can VB show with auto-adjustment screen (auto show the form smaller to be fit)?
2. My form somehow can be set with Horizontal & Vertical slide (or some thing similiar) so the user can see the rest?
to make my form full screen. i need the screen to be on top of the task bar and on top over any other application that is running behind it.

1) I am writing an application for a touchscreen which will have several different Forms - each of which will be full-screen. What is the best way to achieve this? Hide/show each Form as the user navigates between screens? MDI Parent with multiple Child Forms becoming visible 'on top'? Or is there a more elegant solution?
2) I would also like a 'banner' on the top of each Form (or always visible on the top of the MDI Parent, etc) similar to a 'navigation frame' on a website. This banner will display a clock with the current time, and the current GPS location (meaning that a Timer will be used to get/set these values every 1000 milliseconds). I thought of using a UserControl for the banner - but if this is used on multiple Forms then I will end-up with multiple Timers all waiting 1000 milliseconds to update essentially the same information.
Is there a best practice for this type of scenario? - my thoughts so far are using the "Main" Form for Global Timers, etc - but then how do I update all Form clocks each second? (without iterating through all visible Forms... which seems messy).

I have a windows form with nothing more than 4 picture boxes on there and a button. How (if even possible) can I show this page in full screen mode but at the same time allow each control on the form to format and resize in proportion.The best analogy I can give to describe what I want is when thinking about PowerPoint. When you create a slide and then press the F5 button to go into slideshow mode, no matter what size monitor or resolution you use, it always fills up the screen appropriately.

Now I'm creating at app in VB (Microsoft's, Visual Basic 2010) which will be in full screen but I want to know if I can put all my content in the centre of the screen. View 5 RepliesI have a form in an application I'm working on that normally displays full screen without a taskbar but provide the option to switch to a minimizable window with a taskbar. When I switch from full screen without taskbar to minimizable window with taskbar everything is ok. When I try to switch back to full screen the border disappears but the taskbar is still there and the form is not aligned properly.The text at the top is cut off somewhat and there's a small margin at the right edge that shouldn't be there.I put this code in a keydown event for the form.

I had a master form which has a MDI container.When I was load the master form, I will also display another form inside the MDI container.But I was fail to maximize the child form to fix the MDI container. So I'm trying to take a screen capture of the windows form and display only a certain specified area of that screen capture in a picturebox on a different form. Kind of like this. First, take the screen capture of the form: Then get a specified area of that form through x,y coordinates or something and display it on a picturebox on a separate form.
I'm writing a small app which I want to display a splash screen. The problem is my form 1 is appearing before the splash screen disappears. In fact is appears on startup blocking the splash screen. I have some code in form_load and have managed to figure out which line is causing the error, but I cant figure out why or how to prevent it.
The line reads
LoadSettings()
If I comment out this line everything runs fine and there's nothing in that sub that should affect form1. I'm doing this in vb express 2010.

I've a form set to size 1240:750. On my PC where I've VB2010 installed, the screen size is set to 1680:1024 and the form can be viewed fine but on a PC with screen size set to 1280:1024 (higher than the form) the form in question is cropped almost a third of it. To adjust the form to everyone screen size I set the below code at load with no avail.

Hello.. I'm using a splash screen for the first time in an exercise. I have it set up to display the splash screen before going to the main form. I made changes to the splash screen title and copyright information. When I execute the program, the splash screen comes up but it's not displaying the information I changed. When I view the splash screen the changes are saved. It displays the project name where the application name should be.

One the login screen, after the username/password is entered and OK is pressed, I try to open the a connection string. Obviously if the connection fails, the user has entered the incorrect credentials. If the credentials are ok, True is returned and I then open up the Main form that shows the correct items for the logged in user.
