On my software , i have a function for search in the list a member . The function have more fields : Girls , Boy , Old , etc ... but the software doesn't work correctly. I want him to search with several conditions, adding AND. Here is the code :
Vb
For Each MemberALister As MemberInfo In _Listemember
If Me.Girl.Checked Then
If MemberALister.Nom.Contains(Me.Genre.Text) Then
I'm using some functions which can be compared to encoding/decoding, but it's a really simple and basic application, not really an encoding function. The problem is, the decoding function doesn't seem to work. For some reason, it doesn't work correctly, and I'm a bit stressed, so even after searching for a while, I can't seem to find it.[code]
Im using TCP cliente to connect and receive data from my server. To read received data im using this code:
[Code]...
It works fine when server response is detected but when there is no connection or there is no server respone the program starts to crash and doesn't work, so i have to break the debuggind process.
I am making this program for a school assignment but it has errors when calculating
Private Sub frmReceipt_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load 'When this form is loaded, assign the date to the date label & start the timer lblDate.Text = Date. Now
[CODE]...
So if counter finishes, execute the following code
If counter > 4 And km >= 1 And kmcashset = 0 Then 'If there is still kms to calculate 'And kmcashset = 0 kmcashholder = kmcash km = km / 5
[CODE]...
And if I add counter = 0 and km = 0 at the end of that "If counter > 4 And km >= 1 And kmcashset = 0" Then it doesn't calculate anything correctly. I supply it with 9 for Distance and it returns 4 for excessdistance which is correct but returns 7 for excessdistancecharge when it should be 4! When I supply 23 for Distance it returns 18 for excessdistance and 11 for excess distance charge which is correct. (???)
Excessweightcharge calculates correctly.
I think it may be the way I'm implementing it, through the use of AND or maybe it's because it's in timer tick?
-Minimum charge of $5 which covers 10 kgs for the first 5 kms only -Each kg over 10 kgs incurs a charge of $0.50 -Distances over 5 kms incur an additional charge of $1 per km up to 10 kms -For deliveries over 10 kms, the extra distance should be rounded up to the nearest 5 kms and charged at $2 for each extra 5 km block.
EXAMPLE 1: Packet weighing 9kms travelling 9 kms Standard charge for first 5 kms ($5.00) Weight less than 10 kgs so no extra weight charge Extra distance charge 9 - 5 kms = 4kms x $1 = ($4) Total delivery charge = $5 plus $4 = $9
[But my program returns 7 for excess distance charge]
EXAMPLE 2: Packet weighing 33kgs travelling 23 kms Standard charge for the first 5 kms ($5) Excess weight 33 - 10 kgs = 23kgs x $0.50 ($11.50) Extra distance (23 - 5kms = 18kms): 18kms ( 5 to 10 kms at $1/km) = ($5) 13kms (18-5)/5 = 3 (rounded up) x $2.00 = ($6) $5 + $6 = $11 Total delivery charge = $5 plus $11.50 plus $11 = $27.50
I have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.
I have a VB 2008 application with multiple DataPicker fields. The data is binded to SQL database. On the form load I set the checkBox for each date to false if there is no date in the field. Noticed that if I make changes to some dates for record 1 in the table, save it and scroll to the next record - I see the date that I just changed for record 1 - also on records 2 and 3. Why is it happening? I don't have that problem if I use text fields to display the dates. I had encountered the same problem with different project and just switched to text boxes. With this new project?
just had a walkthrough in class and the example code our teacher gave us does not return a value. I am having alot of trouble with my current assignment because I do not see whats wrong with it. It is supposed to take two numbers entered by the user and add them together for a total with a tax rate, but it continues to return all 0's heres what the code looks like:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub BtnCalc_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, _ ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles BtnCalc.Click
I am building a form that will load individual items(from individual files) or a catalog of items(from a list of items). I then click the item I want to use to select it. Everything works correctly, when I click an item it selects the correct stitch. The only problem is, it doesn't display correctly when I load from a catalog. I can open individual items and it works fine. When I load a catalog it doesn't display the images correctly.
I have a Form that I named "Taulukonvalinta". This has 2 buttons (Ok and Cancel) that are defined as OK and Cancel. However, when I call the actions from my main form, Form1, only the "OK"-action works.>[code]
Public Function buildBasicLabel(ByVal labelName As Label, ByVal text As String, ByVal font As Font, ByVal align As Integer) Dim tmpLabel
[Code]....
For some reason, the label is not lining up with the others once I span it. I'm trying to span it to get all the text to show but once I do, it starts pushing it over. I don't see anywhere where I restrict the size so that shouldn't be the issue.
I tried doing all this in the design and it works just fine. Mimicking the designer code doesn't seem to fix it either unless I'm doing something seriously wrong...
Posting images for clarity. NOTE: The borders are just to show the label alignment and the text should read "Flat-Footed AC"
IMAGE 1: Spanning 1 column (doesn't show all text)
IMAGE 2: Spanning 3 columns (still doesn't show text and you can see it's starting to dis-align)
IMAGE 3: Spanning 6 columns (Still doesn't show text and greatly dis-aligned. It should at least show all the text)
I have written an MDI text editor, its almost complete, but I cant get the save as menu option to work correctly.
HTML 'This sub routine controls the save as menu option Private Sub SaveAsToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles[code].......
So whats happening is that it opens the dialog ok, saves the document to my chosen location correctly, but opens a new document and gives the new document my chosen file name and leaves my saved document with the file name New Document. But when I close all the open screens and then re-open my saved document its all as it should be.
How do I get the SuspendLayout and ResumeLayout to work correctly in regards to a listview. I have added these lines of code before and after I have added the items, yet each item is still being displayed as I add each item.
My code:
Dim x As Integer Dim startTick As Integer = Environment.TickCount lstFiles.SuspendLayout() For x = 0 To UBound(cacheListArray)
[code]....
I am adding 2000 items. This takes 7 seconds. I was told that it should be a lot shorter than that. Is that correct?
New code:
Dim ListViewItemArray(-1) As ListViewItem ReDim Preserve ListViewItemArray(UBound(ListViewItemArray) + 1) ListViewItemArray(UBound(ListViewItemArray)).Text = file.Name
[code]....
Nothing is being added. What have I done incorrectly?
After upgrading my solution with both c# and vb.net projects I have encountered some problems:
1. When for example writing Public Property MaxDate As Date and pressing enter it does not create the Get/Set values
2. Refactoring is not available
3. The properties window is blank when viewing classes (normally I would see Serializable and COM properties to the right)Intellisense works and the above problems work in new projects.
My debugger doesnt work correctly anymore and I want to let it work correctly cause i've done some changes in my project but when I click on debug then it just shows my old layout.
Add a new report to a windows forms project. Now add the table data region from the tools. If you don't already have a strongly typed dataset displayed in the data sources view, get that ready. Now do the tried and true easy-to-use trick of dragging a field from data sources onto the table's details row.
I'm creating a search function to search through a binary file and find a record based on the users input. Surprisingly, that isn't the problem! The problem I'm having is that as part of this I'm using a procedure to display results in text boxes, and I'm getting the error "Too many arguments to private sub display customer"I've encountered this error before, but never really knew what it was... Here is my code.
Private Sub btnSearch_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnSearch.Click FilenameCust = "F:\College\CustomersFile.bin"
Im making a search function for an application and they need to be able to search by any value in the DB in any of the three tables. Im wondering the best wayto about this. 2 of the 3 tables have the same columns while the last one is totally different. Below is what I kinda "thought" itd look like but no.
"SELECT * FROM cases, opencases, staff WHERE Crime ='" & txtsearch.Text.ToString & "'"
I need to query the results the user can search for anyterm and if it matches something in the columns it return it to the user. Im wondering if the best way to go about this is to maybe query all the tables and then put all the matching records in a seperate table and the dgv look at that table or how to exactly go about it.
I have a Class MessageIndex which holds an integer. I have a custom DataGridViewComboBoxCell which has a MessageIndex variable. If the MessageIndex is not set, the cell acts as a normal DataGridViewComboBoxCell; if the MessageIndex is set, then the GetValue and SetValue methods of the DataGridViewComboBoxCell are overridden so as to return the value of the object from its DataSource at the index of the integer stored in the MessageIndex.
As far as I can tell from stepping through the code, that actually works fine. The object returned by the GetValue function is fetched from the DataSource, based on the integer stored in the MessageIndex.
The problem is that when the DataGridView is displayed, all of the cells are blank. The values of the cells can then be set using the ComboBox dropdown, which appears to work fine.
But why are the initial selections not being displayed? As I say, as far as I can tell, the correct information is being retrieved by the GetValue function of the DataGridViewComboBoxCells when the form is initially displayed. It's just not ending up on the screen.
I have declared this function and trying to get the correct coding to call this function correctly.Public Declare Function ColorRGBToHLS Lib"shlwapi. dll" (ByVal clrRGB As Long, pwHue As Long, pwLuminance As Long, pwSaturation As Long) As Long
I'm using the following code to read in a highscores file with the score written first and the player's name written to the next line, and then display the top 3 scores or fewer if there aren't 3 scores written to the file. A highscores display should have the scores sorted with the highest first so that's what this program tries to implement.
Array.sort() isn't doing a damn thing. In fact, the program's not even reversing the arrays like it should either. I've tested array.sort() this way with the names and scores arrays given explicitly and it works fine. I thought maybe it was still reading the data as string even though it's declared otherwise but it rounds off decimals when I change the array type to Integer so I'm pretty sure it's not that.
I have no idea why reading the data in from a file changes how it's sorted. My teacher didn't understand what was going on either. Does anyone know what's going on here?
Imports System.IO Public Class Form2 Private Sub Form2_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load

So I have 2 data files, single dimension, that I'm trying to populate two rtb. If I comment one streamreader out the other will print. This also works in the vise versa situation. Does anybody see where I'm going wrong with this? They won't run together.
