Get Value Date From Datagridview?
Sep 30, 2011I can retrieve selected value in datagridview.But right now the problem is i cant retrieve a date from datagridview which means the datagridview in in text box.

Date In Datagridview Not Displaying Correct Date Entered?
Apr 12, 2012I'm working in visual studio 2005 and developing a windows form that has a datagridview on it.
One of the cells is a Calendar Column type (custom made). I pulled the code for it off the internet - it basically allows the user to select the date from a small calendar.
When the date is changed, it gets the correct value and it also saves into the database with the correct value.
The problem is that it doesn't load onto the grid with the correct value. In fact, no matter what date I enter in, it always displays it as 1 day earlier. e.g. If I saved it to the database as 4/19/2012, it displays it as 4/18/2012.
I verified that there's no other column in the query that retrieves the data for the grid that contains the value it's displaying.

Date Format On Datagridview?
Feb 15, 2011On my form (.NET 2005) I have a datagridview which is populated with data from a query from sql server 2005. Now one column is called event_date which is datetime datatype in SQL server.
On the datagridview it displays it as - for example: 15/12/2010 00:00:00, I would like to suppress the 00:00:00 and ONLY dispaly 15/12/2010... Therefore, time is not required... How can I do this on my datagridview for the user to ONLY see 15/12/2010..
Fill A DataGridView By Date?
Mar 12, 2010I am trying to fill my DataGridView using a date for my parameter. My first problem was in my code where I would get the common error message of Too many arguments to public overrides overloadable. I solved that error message by going into the dataset designer, selecting the query and adding RegDate as a parameter. Now my problem is that I will enter a date in my tool strip text box click the button and still get my data grid view filled with all the data.

Filtering Date In DataGridView?
Oct 15, 2011I am using VS 2008 and have a DataGridView linked to a SQL table. One of the columns in my table is a dueDate column. On my form I have a set of check boxes and one of them is set to display all rows that have a dueDate > today's date (well that's what I want it to do). I have set up another filter on other criteria in other columns and am able to get it to work fine but I can't seem to find the trick to get the date comparison to work.
Here's the line I am having an issue with. BillLogBindingSource.Filter = ("dueDate < System.DateTime.Now.Date")

Jun 8, 2011I have a datagrid view with some data in it. The first column (0) is called 'Date' and contains the dates I want to work with.What I would like is to be able to filter (only display) the data between a date range selected by the user using 'Datetimepicker1' and 'Datetimepicker2'

Format IBM Date Field In Datagridview?
Aug 5, 2010I have a simple VB program that is using the IBM ADO .NET data provider. I've set this up so the data is used by a data adapter and fed with a standard DS. I've manually done the commands to acheive this in code. I tthen use the DS as the datasource for my datagridview. I'm having one issue and that is with a date field. It uses an "old" IBM date of CYYMMDD, century, month, day date in a numeric field. So my dates look like this for instance in the datagridview:
1100804
My question is this, is there any easy way to format them into mm/dd/yy after the DS has been put into datagridview but not yet displayed?
I have done this using the dataread object and can work out a format that way, but I'd have to recode what I already have done.

Feb 9, 2012I am using vb.net express version. I have a datagridview which is popuated with data from an access database. I have all the data side working ok with the "Call Date" column set as datetime and sorted in date order assending within my application. I also have a monthviewcalender on the form and wish to filter the datagridview by the date selected in the monthviewcalender to show appointments i may have on that date.I have tried to populate the selected date into a textbox and use the following to filter:
AppointmentsBindingSource.Filter = String.Format("[Call Date] Like '" & TextBoxDate.Text) & "*'"
This causes a error. I have tried many different variants like:
AppointmentsBindingSource.Filter = ("[Call Date] Like '" & MonthCalendar1.SelectionRange.Start) & "*'"
The column is set as datetime in access and is system.datetime in the database explorers properties.

Mar 19, 2012I have 2 problem, on my "addnew" form i need to filter the datagridview using the datetimepicker(Date) and to sort the "EventDate" column ascending(that column is set as text on my MDB that's why it is sorted alphabetically not by month) and 1 problem on my "em" form when i click on the button("View this Event" ) or double click the selected row in the datagrid the "addnew" form will showup with the selected row in datagridview.
And lastly on the "home" form load when there is a event saved today a msgbox will appear(you have event saved today, do you want to view them) if yes "addnew" form will showup with the selected event in the datagridview.

Nov 19, 2010My DataGridView is not sorting my date column correclty and it doesn't seem to be sorting it by String either. The column is bound to a date property, all is done using the designer.The set which I'm viewing it on is 424 entries long, there should be two entries for each date and they should be next to each other (regardless if sorting by date or string)The last few dozen entries are sorted correctly but the initial entries are not.Initially every second entry at the start is correct. Here is an extract if some of the sorting it does.(The beginning of the sorted grid is on the left, and the end of grid is on the right)

The problem is that there is one column in my access database that is formatted as date/time however the only values in the access is time. When I display this table in the DataGridView, it adds this random date from years ago in front of that time. How do I reformat this DataGridView column to only display the time and not the date?

Mar 11, 2010I'm not sure if this is simple or not, i'm still a student programmer. Basically I have a datagridview that has a date column. I'm wanting to compare the month value from a cell with the current month as an if statement condition. Something like this:
