I believe the error has something to do with the VB code.I have put the httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0" setting in my web.config, and I've added validateRequest="false" in the directive at the top of the page, but it didn't resolve the issue.

Aug 19, 2011When the connections is successful (which it does when ran). Button 1 Writes to the text file (which it does successfully). Button 2 deletes the contents of the table and not the table itself (which it does successfully). Last, button 3 is supposed to read the text file and insert each field which is separated by a comma back into the existing table. PS: in CSV file, the decimal digit is "." and if I add directly a record into table, using "." as decimal separators, the numbers get right format.

Skipping Text File Read If Error?
Jun 18, 2012I'm not really sure how to word it, if it is possible, but part of my program reads from a text file. It then pulls out the necessary information needed from that file by finding key identifiers. Right now the code is written to find the first key identifier and then read each line after that, locating each subsequent identifier and pulling the data from it. In a few cases, the format examples I've worked with are a bit different which results in a runtime error. How can I tell the program to essentially skip that part of the text file if it's not reading it right and continue moving on? Here is somewhat of an example of the text file.

Nov 7, 2010I am trying to code a Search option for the user to search for any word in the KJV Bible in my program and the search should return every instance of the search word or phrase i.e. "Love".I checked the MSDN and forums and found an example that uses the FindInFiles method. I have a textbox called "Search" and a Go button. Under the click_event of the Go button, I have the following code (it returns the error "IOException was Unhandled"..."The directory name is Invalid".) [code] The entire KJV Bible is in my solution explorer folder: "KJV Bible". I don't understand the error. Is it my syntax?
