Graph In VB - Returns Two Values Temperature And Speed
Jan 22, 2012
I have just finished working on my database, basically it returns two values temperature and speed. i want to plot a graph of temperature against speed, with data from a database. also the data is not in order, would i need to order the data before it can be inputted into a graph.
I have a codes that calculates DownLoad speed and UpLoad speed kb/s. I would like to implement this kind. I also want to put such kind of graph. Any article or links where can I start building my own like that.
im wish to get the cpu temperature and cpu fan using wmi.. in my bios, i can read my fan speed and cpu temperature.. i tried to use wmi to get the data but it doesnt function..for the wmi, i downloaded the wmi creator from microsoft website.. n it work perfectly to find other information like bios infomtion. however, it is not working with cpu temperature and fan speed..from internet, i found a program called SPEEDFAN and this program can list out all the computer temperature... do anyone know how this program function? i wish to get the information of temperature using vb.net.
I am new to vb and I am required to plot a graph in vb. I need to get data from a text file to plot a polar graph of Wind Direction vs Wind Speed. But opening the file from a text file is in a string format, and when i tried to convert to a double, it gives the error:
I have created an array of 6 numbers which are randomly generated, I can create a graph using six randomly generated numbers, however what I want is to use the random values that are placed in the array to create my graph, I have enclosed the code that I have:
Private Sub btnGraph_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnGraph.Click txtAns.Text = ""
ive been struggling on this portion of my code for almost 3 days with no luck. i have a database containing a list of transactions (in this case, the product name, quantity and date of sale). I want to plot a graph for each product showing the amount sold each month for the past 12 months. The functions to calculate these values are working fine. but my problem is this:
I'd like to do something I thought was simple. All I'd like is to take the data from a connected database, then put those values into a scrolling line graph. Preferabley with 4 lines (taking information from separate tables) on the same graph. I've connected the database and set up a script to populate it with data, but that's as far as I go with graphs.
I've downloaded 'MSChart.exe', 'MSChart_VisalStudioAddOn.exe', ChartFXLiteNet' and others, yet none work. I've also followed a tutorial here on graphs, but it's for visual studio 2005, and I don't have the options required. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 with VB.NET.
I have used MSChart control and created line graph. when i move my mouse over the graph, i want to display X-axis value and Y-axis value in another label above the graph.
I'm currently trying to improve the speed of my program. Basically the user inputs min and max values for a, b, c, and d and a constant n, and then it tries to find the curve/line in the form a (x/b + c) ^ n + d. However for large ranges (1-100 for a,b,c, and d; total of 100 million values to try), it would take around 100 minutes at the current rate (approx 800k values/minute). I'm wondering whether I can further improve the speed. [Code]
I've written an algorithm that I believe to be correct for computing prime numbers up to n with the Sieve of Eratosthenes. Unfortunately, this program hangs on really large values of n (try 10 million). Here is what I've written...
Protected Function Eratosthenes(ByVal n As Integer) As String Dim maxValue As Integer = Math.Sqrt(n) Dim values As Generic.List(Of Integer) = New Generic.List(Of Integer)
[code]...
How might I speed this algorithm up? Where are my bottlenecks?
How do i exactly check internet connection speed.I have searched around google and found out a method w/c will Download a file like 1mb size, then it will calculate the speed.
I have to draw a bar graph in my vb.net program. I used AxMSChart to create a graph. Everything has gone fine but when i published this and run on Vista PC, all form was good except my form includes MSChart. It says class not registered. So i have to draw a graph except MSChart tool.
i like to get CPU temperature of my own machine and i am developing application for network monitoring. is there any way to get CPU temperature using Visual Basic..
Recently ive been experiencing someproblems playing minecraft on my toshiba qosmio x500, because of the high ram and cpu useage, my laptop gets very hot very fast, simply turning off due to overheating after maybe 20 minutes, if i am not rasing it off the desk, in which case, i must be careful as the fans are often blocked by whatever i am leaning the laptop against, otherwise if positioned carefully, i get cpu heat at a constant 90% or so,100% being when the computer overheats and turns off.[code]...
I just searched a method to read my CPU Temperature, at first i tried W32_TemperatureProbe, but this didn't work. Now i use: MSAcpi_ThermalZoneTemperatureI found this [Code]
read the cpu temperature in a VB application.i tried to get it using WMI but that isn't supported by my computer.i used code i found on this forum and what i get from the WMI code creator.this is the code created with the WMI code creato
I have some code which gets child items for a menu via the GetChildren function which takes a list of menuData: Dim builtMenu As New List(Of MenuData)(_rawData.FindAll(Function(item) item.GroupingID = 0))
For Each menuData As MenuData In builtMenu If menuData.Children IsNot Nothing Then menuData.Children.AddRange(GetChildren(menuData)) End If Next
If I check if menudata.children isnot nothing, it always is nothing because the GetChildren function is yet to run (providing the child items, which do exist). If I remove this check and just have this code:
Dim builtMenu As New List(Of MenuData)(_rawData.FindAll(Function(item) item.GroupingID = 0))
For Each menuData As MenuData In builtMenu menuData.Children.AddRange(GetChildren(menuData)) Next
Then I am presented with a Object reference not set to an instance of an object error on menuData.Children.AddRange(GetChildren(menuData))
So far, my friend has this, and we're trying to figure out how to get the code to tell convert F to C, and back. All we can use for input is (example:) 10,f and it will change it to 40,C.
I'm doing a little app that basically has 2 text boxes. You'll enter Fahrenheit into TextBoxA and Celsius into TextBoxB.As the text changes in TextBoxA I want the equivalent Celsius value to be displayed in TextBoxB and vice versa. Is there a way to do it all in Xaml except for a Convert class that does the maths? So basically I want the TextChanged event of one textBox to pass in it's value into a Converter class that is evaluated and sent to the other TextBox and visa versa.
