I have a splash screen and want to test the loading bar. The % of loading are in 11 stages (0-100% in 10% intervals) and I have 11 different images. What i'm trying to do is set my picturebox.image = to the resource image and then wait 1 second then set picturebox.image to the next resource image. What i was doing is on the SplashScreen.Show method [Code]. What happens is that the picture box doesn't refresh with the image until the last image has been loaded from the procedure and the end of making the thread sleep completes. (this worked fine in VS2005). How can I make it load up the image, redraw the picturebox and then make the thread sleep for 1 second in VS2008.

I have three dropdown list boxes and a gridview. The gridview shows data based on what is entered in the dropdown list boxes. I have added a button that allows the user to insert a record into the database and then the page refreshes. The problem is that when the page refreshes the gridview goes back to whatever was initially in the dropdown list boxes when I first brought up the page. Is there a way to refresh and maintain the data in the list boxes so the gridview shows the same data? My code is below.

I now need to update the database on gridview page chage so that textbox values are not lost. I put window.opener.document.forms[0].submit(); into the PageIndexChanging event of the datagrid, but it does not refresh the parent window. Refreshing the parent window with the order lines helps the user see what they have already ordered. My update database method runs fine, just not the parent browser refresh. I also tried "window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href" to no avail.Refresh parent browser window on GridView page change?
When the page loads, the GridView (located in an update panel) should be loaded with my first SQL SELECT statement. On the button click, the same GridView will be loaded with new data. On startup, the GridView doesn't appear.

How can I get the checked state of the Checkboxes in this scenario? Or what would be the best approach into updating the aforementioned column? P.S. Note that click on the checkboxes doesn't post back. Nothing happens on the page until the user clicks Save (and that is the intended behavior).

I have a modal popup that contains a gridview. On the click of a button inside of a grid i reload the gridview with the data that depends on the id of the row clicked in the gridview. I was creating an mvc application and i had a model class with a dbcontext function the variables were in the same file. I added another field and changed the code in the edit create delete details and index views but i now get an error saying "The model backing the 'GameDBContext' context has changed since the database was created. Either manually delete/update the database, or call Database.SetInitializer with an IDatabaseInitializer instance. For example, the DropCreateDatabaseIfModelChanges strategy will automatically delete and recreate the database, and optionally seed it with new data."
