i have a text box data is moved from there into a list box with the click of a button, i want the text in the box to dissapear when the button is pressed and the cursor to stay in the text box. This has to be possible as i have used this kind of thing on website forms.

I want to search as text is entered into a text box. All works as it should. When the search highlights the first character of the string then ALL following searches have this same color.
For example: I have a listbox with a list of titles. As I move through the titles the RTB displays the story line associated with the title.
RTB = "A big brown box and an apple is the mystery" Search for "a" (All conversions to common case) will highlight all the "a"s. BUT when I click on the next title, ALL the text is now highlighted.
There have been many variations tried and all without success.

I have a program which writes to a .log file as it is installing software. Some of the lines will contain either WARNING or FAILED.
What I would like, is a window in my program which will read the .log file and display the content into this window as it is being written too. Any lines which contain WARNING or FAILED in them are highlighted yellow/red.
I would like to compare two multiline textboxes, and display the diffeences of the second one based on the first. Just spelling check is required..

Now when a name appear in the names.Text disappear in the listname(listbox) except the last one.But I want to keep all names in the Listames because I want start the process again with a timer. View 3 RepliesI dynamically create buttons on a form and use the button text as ids so that I can pass that to an SQL query to pull saved data about that button when necessary, but I also use an image over buttons that have information saved about them. What I need to know is how do I keep the text on the button from appearing when there is an image assigned to that button? By default vb.net shows both the text and the image and no TextImageRelation values allow for the image to take precedence. I tried changing the text color to transparent, but the outline of the text is still visible through the image. Is there anyway to keep the text value as it is but just show the image on the button?

I am building a vb.net application with VS2010. The aim of the application is to change sln. files from VS2005/2008 versions into VS2010.I am using a Form with 2 text boxes and 2 buttons. When I click the 1st button it reveals the sln file in the text box. Then i have a 'convert' button that I want to use to 'convert' the file that appears in the first text box. I have come quite far with the source code but am just a bit puzzled as to how i can retrieve the VS2005 sln files and to get the 'convert' button to display the text in the 2nd text box.[code]

I have a groupbox with 4 radio buttons inside that are intended to change the font color of the text. Coincidentally, I have to repeat this same functionality for a 2nd set of radio buttons that would change the text font family.
At any rate what I've only been able to do is the following to successfully change the font color of whatever text I highlight in the rich text box:

Is there a way that I could write a sub (I'm assuming I would use a sub, since I don't think I need to return anything, thus eliminating the use of a function) that would handle the action of changing the selected text color in the rich text box without having to use a separate sub for each radio button? where path points to a template file I created with a header and a watermark. The template has some bookmarks which I want to dynamically set to some appropriate text values:

If I comment out that line, the document opens in Word with the watermark, etc, in place. If I let that line execute, it inserts the text as appropriate, but the watermark and other things disappear from the document. You can actually see it flash briefly, and then disappear.FWIW, this is Office Word 2007, and I am opening a .Dot (Word 97-2003) template. The Bookmark.Range.Text I am setting is in the document header.
