View 1 RepliesI have this code in a button that should work as a weather application (I am using VB10)
WebBrowser1.Navigate("http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=da&rlz=&q=weather+in+" & TextBox1.Text)
It doesn't say that there is any errors but the WebBrowser doesn't "update" when I press the button
I Want to have a WebBrowser1 and WebBrowser2 on the same form and be able to login to WebBrowser1 with account1 and login to WebBrowser2 with account2.
View 1 Repliesbasically i want it so if a message box pops up, with the "Yes, No" buttons, i want it so if you press "Yes" the Web Browser will Redirect to a specific Website.
If MsgBox(vbYesNo) = vbYes Then
WebBrowser1.url = "Adress Here"
how can i add a method to my extended webbrowsers Document property?
i.e.
webbrowser1.document.[myMethod]
I've crafted together a quick web page together to look something like this:
<span class="vanity">Just A Test Document</span>

<B>Hey VBForums!</B>
I have a standard text box, a button & web browser control on my form. On the load event I send my browser out to this web page. I had a quick question, after clicking button 1, does someone know how I could get the data from in between these 2 tags '<span class="vanity">' & '</span>' into Text Box 1?
how can i add a method to my extended webbrowsers Document property?

If I get to a 404 error page on my webbrowser I want it to redirect.
If 'catch webbrowser 404 error Then
Webbrowser1.Navigate ("[URL]")
End If
I have no idea how to catch the 404 error page when it happens though.
code for Word Search in a webpage for Tabbed Webbrowsers?
View 3 RepliesI was looking through the internet for codes for word search and the onlyone i found was for non-tabbed webbrowsers.I've been fiddling with it but i cant figure out how to change it for Tabbed Browsers.
View 9 RepliesI am developing an app that has a treeview on the left in panel1 of a split container. When you click in a node it loads a user control into a tabcontrol that is in panel2. Some of the user contols contain webbrowsers that autorefresh every 15 sec (not under my control). I can successfully remove a tab by a contextmenu but I can still hear the clicking sound of the webbrowsers refreshing. Not sure what to do to completely remove the usercontrol. Treeview control code for one node: there rest are basically the same
Code:
Dim tabcount As Integer
tabcount = TabControlMain.TabCount
[CODE]...
Code to remove a tab and all tabs:
Code:
Private Sub RemoveToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles RemoveToolStripMenuItem.Click
TabControlMain.Controls.Remove(TabControlMain.SelectedTab)
[CODE]...
I also originally had this setup to work without the tabcontrol and just load the usercontrol into panel2 of the split container. Each time a new node was selected from the treeview I would have SplitContainer1.Panel2.Controls.Clear() to remove the current usercontrol. I would still hear the clicking of the old usercontrol.
This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:
<td>
<input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden">
<img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work">
</td>
[Code]...
Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?
Usage: Users create pretty HTML news letters in another app. They post the newsletter to the web, but they also want to set the contents of the HTML news letter file as the body of an email and send it using Application In Question. The users understand to use absolute link and image references when sending an E Newsletter. Environment:
AIQ is a VB.Net app deployed via ClickOnce. It is an intranet app; one can be sure MS Office 2003 and the interop 11 dlls are on the target machines.
Restrictions: MAPI is out. It mangles the HTML. Since it is a ClickOnce deployment, we can't register dlls (I think, correct me if I am wrong). Therefore CDO and COM is out (again, I may be wrong.... I would be happy to be proven so).
Need a bit of help with HTML Agility Pack!Basically I want to grab plain-text withing the body node of the HTML. So far I have tried this in vb.net and it fails to return the innertext meaning no change is seen, well atleast from what I can see.
Dim htmldoc As HtmlDocument = New HtmlDocument
htmldoc.LoadHtml(html)
Dim paragraph As HtmlNodeCollection = htmldoc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//body")
[code]....
I have tried this:
Return htmldoc.DocumentNode.InnerText
But still no luck!
I am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:
<input name="user_status" value="3" />
I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.
then fill all tags and attribute of this page in vb arrayi know this is too much but would you expl

I am trying to build my own website and realized that it would be a big help to also create my own vb program to enable me to embed tags with simple clicks of buttons. I am having trouble getting my vb code to be compatible with html code (I keep getting vb syntax errors).
Here is what I've tried:
<strong>'Inside of a button:Textbox1.text = "<html tag example></html tag example>"</strong>
I have to submit a HTML form to a 3rd party website and one of the hidden fields is an XML string. The XML needs escaping before it is sent to the 3rd party.
However when I add the plain XML to the form field it semi-escapes it for me. So then when I use HTMLEncode myself part of the XML is double-escaped. How do I prevent the automatic escaping that appears to becoming from .NET.
Or even better how else can send the escaped XML via the hidden field.
XML
<systemCode>APP</systemCode>
Basic assigning to hidden input field
<systemCode>APP</systemCode>
When I HTML Encode it as well
&lt;systemCode&gt;APP&lt;/systemCode&gt;
I can see what's happening - but I don't know how to prevent it?
i want open html file in vb

View 4 RepliesI'm looking for an efficient means of extracting an html "fragment" from an html document. My first implementation of this used the Html Agility Pack. This appeared to be a reasonable way to attack this problem, until I started running the extraction on large html documents - performance was very poor for something so trivial (I'm guessing due to the amount of time it was taking to parse the entire document).[code]...
View 3 RepliesI am making a html application and would like to make an ftp as a folder for the html you are writing, similar to that of visual basic's solution explorer. eg. images wont show from the index location, basicaly something allong the slines of a local ftp / solution explorer is needed desparatley.
View 1 RepliesI have another question.I have taken an HTML file called "template.html" and got its content. Then I change some variables and save it to a new file in the same directory. Afterwards, there is something else I need to do before saving but I don't know how.In the template.html file, I have a table which should represent a table from a SQL database which means I would need to loop it. But I don't know how to loop that.

I have a normal winform and I would like to know is there any possibility to generate a html page and to add a css file to the html page from the local folder.
