Usage: Users create pretty HTML news letters in another app. They post the newsletter to the web, but they also want to set the contents of the HTML news letter file as the body of an email and send it using Application In Question. The users understand to use absolute link and image references when sending an E Newsletter. Environment:
AIQ is a VB.Net app deployed via ClickOnce. It is an intranet app; one can be sure MS Office 2003 and the interop 11 dlls are on the target machines.
Restrictions: MAPI is out. It mangles the HTML. Since it is a ClickOnce deployment, we can't register dlls (I think, correct me if I am wrong). Therefore CDO and COM is out (again, I may be wrong.... I would be happy to be proven so).
This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:
<td>
<input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden">
<img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work">
</td>
[Code]...
Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?
I am trying to add an ID HTML attribute to a form using ASP.NET MVC and VB.NET
<%Html.BeginForm("Create", "Model", "", "", New With {.id = "CreateForm"})%>
This gives me a type error, since .id is expecting an Integer, not a string. How do add an ID attribute to my form?

I use DocTools to Create a Compiled HTML Help File. I want to link to a specific topic in the help file from my program, but the filenames of the html files are generated randomly.
Is there any way to open a CHM to a specific topic by name?
I created a wrapper for DocTools, so I could have the command line piped to a text box and then I could obtain the Topics from there and save them in an INI file that I read when I call the help, but I don't know how to pipe the command line to a textbox.
style attribute does not working. In my code i am using an image for print.I want HAND CURSOR, so i added style attribute like the code below
<img id="btnPrint" alt="Print" imagealign="AbsBottom" onclick="winPrint()" src="../../Images/print.gif" style="cursor: hand" />
but this is not working in browsers other than Internet Explorer.
I'm using HtmlAgilityPack to parse HTML. I want to check if an element has a specific attribute. I want to check whether an <a> tag has the href attribute.
Dim doc As HtmlDocument = New HtmlDocument()
doc.Load(New StringReader(content))
Dim root As HtmlNode = doc.DocumentNode
Dim anchorTags As New List(Of String)
For Each link As HtmlNode In root.SelectNodes("//a")
If link.HasAttributes("href") Then doSomething() 'this doesn't work because hasAttributes only checks whether an element has attributes or not

I'm letting my users write their own HTML from my webpage. When they click the preview button, my code behind needs access to controls on the page (and so I understand I can't use a web method here). It builds the HTML and saves it as a file on the server. My question is: Once the file has been made, I want to automatically open the file in a new window for the user to see their handy work. I'm using vb.net, but happy to receive c# answers.

I want to open a local html file in the user's default Web browser, and jump to an anchor within that file. In other words, I would like to have a result similar to clicking a link to localfile.html#my_anchor.
I've been using the System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(String) method to open html files, and this works fine. In the following example, I open a file named "info.html" in the "SomeInfo" subfolder of the folder containing the application:

View 2 RepliesI have a question. How can I open a HTML file as object (like XML, I can get the structure and values easly and directly) instead of file (like a txt file, it is opened as string stream)?
View 3 RepliesI have a Master page and many, many pages that use it. On one or two of the pages, there is not enough content to fill the entire page. This causes the footer to appear near the middle of the screen and the background to be visible at the bottom of the page. I would like to know if it is possible to have the ContentPlaceHolder automatically generate white space to force the footer to the bottom of the page. I have looked through the code of the master page and did not see anything that was forcing the size of the ContentPlaceHolder. I also checked the two pages that I am having the issue with and did not see any explicit size declaration.

Should i create a new class called CreateInvoiceHTML which creates invoice programmatically?
I haven't done this before, i need some quick ideas to make sure i don't go to the wrong track.
In VB6 classical, we could do:
Private Sub Form_Load()
WebBrowser1.Navigate2 "http://yourSite.com"
End Sub

I have another question.I have taken an HTML file called "template.html" and got its content. Then I change some variables and save it to a new file in the same directory. Afterwards, there is something else I need to do before saving but I don't know how.In the template.html file, I have a table which should represent a table from a SQL database which means I would need to loop it. But I don't know how to loop that.

I'm working on a project in Visual Basic 2008, a web browser, and I've been looking up how to fill in an HTML textbox, fill in a check box, and click a button, I haven't found anything that works. So I know the names of the textboxes, that I want to fill, the check box that I want to have clicked, and the buttons I want clicked, how would I do this?

Need a bit of help with HTML Agility Pack!Basically I want to grab plain-text withing the body node of the HTML. So far I have tried this in vb.net and it fails to return the innertext meaning no change is seen, well atleast from what I can see.
Dim htmldoc As HtmlDocument = New HtmlDocument
htmldoc.LoadHtml(html)
Dim paragraph As HtmlNodeCollection = htmldoc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//body")
[code]....
I have tried this:
Return htmldoc.DocumentNode.InnerText
But still no luck!
I am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:
<input name="user_status" value="3" />
I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.
I've given a job to convert old data in table format to new format.Old dummy data is as follows:

I am trying to build my own website and realized that it would be a big help to also create my own vb program to enable me to embed tags with simple clicks of buttons. I am having trouble getting my vb code to be compatible with html code (I keep getting vb syntax errors).
Here is what I've tried:
<strong>'Inside of a button:Textbox1.text = "<html tag example></html tag example>"</strong>
I have to submit a HTML form to a 3rd party website and one of the hidden fields is an XML string. The XML needs escaping before it is sent to the 3rd party.
However when I add the plain XML to the form field it semi-escapes it for me. So then when I use HTMLEncode myself part of the XML is double-escaped. How do I prevent the automatic escaping that appears to becoming from .NET.
Or even better how else can send the escaped XML via the hidden field.
XML
<systemCode>APP</systemCode>

I've read up about the Design_Time_Lock attribute, and I can see when it will and won't be generated. However I don't really understand the point of it. And- more importantly- can all instances of it be safely removed throughout the code?
