I've read up about the Design_Time_Lock attribute, and I can see when it will and won't be generated. However I don't really understand the point of it. And- more importantly- can all instances of it be safely removed throughout the code?
setting the default value for an integer attribute of a custom control seems to have stopped working. The following code adds the Maximum attribute to the design-time properties table, but the default value pops up as 0, not 99:
<System.ComponentModel.Browsable(True)> _ <System.ComponentModel.Category("Behavior")> _ <System.ComponentModel.Description("highest value possible")> _
i have created my own custom propertythe property is of type collection ,it displays a form which allow the user to add a list of images and strings,it stores the data in a collection ,my problem is , i have noticed that after adding items to the collection at design time , there is no code generated in the .Designer file of the form and there for when i close the for / save it and reload it , all the items that i added to my custom property are gone.my question , what did i miss here ? how do i make my custom property generate code at the .designer file for the items i have added to my property?
I'm building an c# app that is designed to replicate and enhance the functionality of an VB6 app developed many years ago. My problem is that one module in the old app does some realy complicated things and trying to replicate this starting from specs would be a big pain for me. Even if this sounds like the best idea.
My question is : is there a way i could keep the old VB module and integrate it into the c# app, so that i wouldn't have to rewrite everything ?
I have an old application in BASIC. It still runs under Windows ME. It no longer works under XP, so I was looking at recoding the applciation. I started coding it in VBA, which I have used for Excel macros for years.
We are looking at getting a new computer for kids to use for schoolwork, etc. I also want the kids to learn programming and recoding my old BASIC application is a good place to start. A new computer we were considering has MS Works, but I suspect I will need MS Office (at least Excel) to get VBA. There are multiple versions of Office 2007 (Home & School, Small Business, Pro), so I looked into the Microsoft website to see if I could find out what version of Office I need to get to have VBA. What I found is that VBA seems to be going away in favor of VSTA and VSTO.
Is VBA truely going away? Or is it still going to be a part of Excel for wrting macros? If VBA is part of Excel, is it available in all versions of Office? If VBA is going away, what is recommended for recoding my old BASIC application?
The application involves display of a screen full of data with color coding and has several actions for updating those data.It does not involve any graphics or animation. In the old BASIC application all the system data and runtime data are in program variables.
The actions to be performed are selected by number from menus. In creating the application in VBA, I envisioned primary data display on a main form, which would also have buttons to invoke dialog panels to perform the various updating actions.I have the system data that are not changed when the application is run in one Excel worksheet and the runtime data on another worksheet.
I have code for a custom DateTimePicker in this thread.>> Do I need to add an attribute to the properties to instantly show changes in design view please
I would like to know please how to check whether a string exists or not in a html code. I'm executing a for loop. Each time it checks a different url, so I want to be able to check each time if for example "<img" exists .
P.S: What's the difference between using
webrowser1.navigate
AND
dim request webrequest request = WebRequest.Create etc...
This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:
<td> <input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden"> <img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work"> </td>
[Code]...
Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?
How can I basically lock a default property so the user cannot edit it? For example, if I wanted to lock the BackColor property, how can I make it so the end user of the control can't edit it?
using VS2008, targetting framework 3.5I have a rather complex UserConrol which does some of its own rendering.I display this UserControl on a form.Opening that form in the Designer creates an instance of the UserControl in the Designer, which tells me a NullReferenceException is occurring in one of my rendering methods.I have attempted to correct this by making alterations to the UserControl's default constructor, but have not found success.
I'm using HtmlAgilityPack to parse HTML. I want to check if an element has a specific attribute. I want to check whether an <a> tag has the href attribute.
Dim doc As HtmlDocument = New HtmlDocument() doc.Load(New StringReader(content)) Dim root As HtmlNode = doc.DocumentNode Dim anchorTags As New List(Of String) For Each link As HtmlNode In root.SelectNodes("//a") If link.HasAttributes("href") Then doSomething() 'this doesn't work because hasAttributes only checks whether an element has attributes or not Next
I have a webbrowser control with a static HTML page in it, i wanted to loop through each of the DIV items, and look at the class attribute within them. When i run my test, the class attribute is always blank? I know they have a class attribute i checked in my HTML
I am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:
<input name="user_status" value="3" />
I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
I want to remove items from a listbox 1 at a time. I have two timers set up to remove the two types of items that are put into the list box. When there is a "Player 1 killed Button 1" following a "Player 1 killed Button 2" or vise-versa they get removed at the same time. Is there any way to prevent this?
Code: Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim XP As Integer [Code] .....
I have a form in which I add 9 labels in Run Time with .add method inside a panel. When I try to remove those labels in Run Time using For Each Loop, only 5 labels get removed. My code is given below.Code to Add Labels
While rs1.Read() channelid = rs1("s_id") Dim channelLabel As New Label[code].....
When i run the loop without .remove and .dispose it alerts .Text of all Lables present inside that Panel and With .remove and .dispose it does not remove all Lables and does not alert all .Text. In other words it misses 1 after 1.
I Put together this bit of code. What the problem im having is Removing a Label after i place the code its in a select end slecte code . The Problem is in red.
the code
Dim Animals As String = (TextBox1.Text) Select Case Animals Case "Apples"
[Code].....
Everything works Accept the remove selection ... I think it has something to do with Dim LB As New Label() ... And ... Me.Controls.Remove(LB)
This is a part of my project, my project basically uses a motion sensor to detect any intrusion. So one of the modules is to lock the PC on detection of an intruder. Is there a way to lock the PC using Visual Basic?(Because most of the other modules have been programmed in Visual Basic.) I am basically looking for source code that can implement something similar to "Windows button + L".
1. I have to select the next invoice number from one table.
2. Then i have to insert this invoice number as it is in three other tables.
3. Then once i have done so i have to go and update the invoice number by +1 (increment by
1). And i have to do this for each row in the datatable.
During this whole period i do not want anyone to access (read or change) that invoice number. We can lock the table or row. Does not matter. How can i do it? I am not suppose to use store procedure. Lock table ... does not work. It is not an T-SQL stmet select invoice number with (readlock) ....... only works while this stement is runned. I want to have the table or row locked until i have done 1,2 and 3rd steps. I have seaching for a stamt in sql which will do this for me! But didnt find anything. All results point me to SP which i cannot use.
i'm trying to Handle the Micosoft.Win32.SessionSwitch Event, so when Windows is going to be locked by the user, i will simply write a line to the console. When it's going to be unlocked, the same.
Here's the code:
Sub Main() AddHandler Microsoft.Win32.SystemEvents.SessionSwitch, _ SystemEvents_Sessionswitch() Console.ReadLine()
