I have problem with getting a single line text from html webpage. I have searched for it but when I try that code:
Private Shared Function GetTitle(html As String) As String
Dim r As New Regex("<title.*?>")
Dim Title_start As Integer = 0
Dim Title_end As Integer = 0
For Each m As Match In r.Matches(html)
[Code] .....
Then it gives me a error: REXES IS NOT DEFINED. Also I am using Visual Studio 2010.
How can I read a text file so that each line in the file is added to a string collection? Also, if I would like to read only the 5th line in the text file, how could I do that?
How do I read a line from a database using WHERE? I've read this post but it doesn't really cover it and the forum search throws out the words, 'From' and 'Where' as being common. This is my bit of code but it just skips over it as if it doesn't exist so presumably there's an error, I dunno. I'm trying to read an entire line from the database where it equals the value of 'getweek' where 'getweek' is a variable.
a user copies multiple lines of text (say, from an email) into the clipboard. Based on my observations, when one tries to paste the text into a single-line textbox, only the first line is actually pasted in. (I am aware that the "obvious" solution would be to set the Multiline property to True, but there are reasons I am looking to avoid this and to put multi-line data into a single line.)
In the TextChanged event handler, I wrote code that parses the clipboard data to successfully convert it to a single-line, comma-delimited format.
Private Sub txtMassTrackingNo_TextChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) _ Handles txtMassTrackingNo.TextChanged
Im using the following code to wrap html tags around text in a texbox and transfer the text to a single multiline textbox from form1 to form2.[code]My problem is that if for example textbox5 and textbox6 are empty i want the program to continue anyway.

I'm trying to make an executable in VS2008 that will read a webpage source code using a vb.NET function into a string variable. The problem is that the page is not *.html but rather *.aspx.I need a way to execute the aspx and get the displayed html into a I have tried the following code, which works properly for html pages, but generates the wrong source code with "access denied" for the page title when I pass in the above aspx page.
Dim myReq As WebRequest = WebRequest.Create(url) Dim myWebResponse As WebResponse = myReq.GetResponse() Dim dataStream As Stream = myWebResponse.GetResponseStream()
Dim sFileName As String Dim srFileReader As System.IO.StreamReader Dim sInputLine As String sFileName = "D:UsersArbenDesktopSerieA.txt" srFileReader = System.IO.File.OpenText(sFileName)
[Code]...
under the code I pasted at the top, but I get the text on line1 in all labels, like all labels become 1, while the text should be 1, 2, 3 and so on. So anyone can help me do that, each label gets the value of the next line in the txt file

If Selection = 7 And Chapter = 1 And ForrestSwitch = False Then rtxOutput.Font.Bold = True rtxOutput.text = "Chapter: Misty Cave" & _ Environment.Newline + Environment.Newline + "Journal is Updated" & _
For example the user has typed a list of names in a text field (1 on each line)
jerry mark mark93 ewji84 fjkewo93
the program will auto fill this in the submission form jerry
when it finished the first registration now moves on to the second string: mark

I've got my self in to a pickle here.I'm trying to do something I used to do in basic? At-least I think you can do this in Basic, you know Qbasic,What I'm trying to do is put 4-8 strings on to one line separated by a comma.Example might be:
writer.writeline (bob1, bob2, bob3, bob4) Out put might look like Test, Test2, Test3, Test4
I'm tried looking in to formatting of writeline/write, but I didn't get any where with it.
Also if this is possible- I would like to be able to read it just like :
reader.readline (Rbob1, Rbob2, Rbob3, Rbob4) If anyone cold just point me in the right direction, I'm sure I can figure it out - If not... Well I will ask another question.
As it doesn't seem possible to make a new reply to a vBulletin thread, I'm trying something different.A link to a New Reply page is like this http:[url]....I want to fill in the textbox, just as I'm typing now but with a report.I know that
name="message" id="vB_Editor_001_textarea"
So I can do this
If currentElement.Name = "message" Then If currentElement.Id = "vB_Editor_001_textarea" Then End If[code]......
How to read a single character each time, from a text file using vb.net? I mean that if the txt file contains code as " my name is...".It should be read initially as :'m'..after some time it should show 'y'. then 'n'.'a'..'m'.'e'.like that..
I have got a RichTextBox1.Text , a timer and a TextBox1.Text. Now I need an idea for timer code. It should on every timer tick read the RichTextBox1 line by line and transfer that line into TextBox1.Text something like TextBox1.Text = RichTextbox... etc
Example (RichTextBox1.Text):
Code: blablabla somerandom msg 123 456
now every timer tick the textbox1 should contain line 1 so " blablabla " than line 2 " " somerandom msg " line 3 " 123 456 " etc. untill there is some text. (the text is variable so is the amount of lines and length per line makes it hard to do with Mid function..
