How To Select DataGridView Row Depending On Column Value

I want to select a datagridview row according to its column value (i.e. user id) when I click on that row (with sql command).
I had following coding:

i have a problem with a SELECT statement.I have a table <EisagogiStoixeion> with 6 columns, one of then is < AgonPeriodos>. I want to display data in a datagridview depending on the column <AgonPeriodos>. I use the Select statement like this :
SELECT * from EisagogiStoixeion where AgonPeriodos = '" & textbox1.text &"'.
Value not set for one or more required parameters. This is my problem on the fill command.
If i don't use the where statement everything is ok and i can see the data including the data from the AgonPeriodos column.

I have a DataGridView with SelectionMode = "CellSelect". I do this because I want the user to be able to click the Column Header and drag the column to a different DisplayIndex. They move the column by clicking and holding down the left mouse button, then moving the column. I also want the user to be able to click the column header and all the cells in the column would be selected. But if I change the SelectionMode property to "FullColumnSelect" or "ColumnHeaderSelect" the user can no longer move the column.In the code below, I can select all the cells in the DataGridView just fine, but I can't select all cells in a particular Column or Row. I have added an unbound checkbox column to my DGV. I have two questions on handling it:
1. How to have a checkbox on this Column header, which on checking must check all the rows in the DGV and vice versa?
2. How do i get the Boolean value of the checked rows in DGV on event handling? In other words, how do i know what rows are selected?

I'm writing a help application for the Customer support team at my company to help agents ask better questions when customers report problems. In it, I've got a SQL database that contains all the products, topics, and questions. The layout is similar to the following:

I am going to make a invoices then.. they are going to have a id it is not going to be identity, it is not my idea, this is the idea's my professor's. then he want it so..he didn't want i change id to int, he want it was varchar..but now i have seen this is as identity.. id =1, next id=2, next=id=3.. but it doesn't mind he told me in the future it is going to be so..

the problem with this code is that it only inserts the serial number of the LAST checked checkbox and the number of entries of it depends on the number of checked checkbox for example ... if I checked the rows with the serialnumber 123 and 55652341, first the row with the serial number 123 then second 55652341, only 55652341 appears in the database and it is entered twice(twice because two checkboxes are checked)

It seems that on clicking datagridview column header, the column will be automatically sorted based on the column type. I have a column showing some numbers. If column type is string, it sorts "1","20","3" into "1","20","3". If column type is double, it sorts into "1","3","20" which is the result that I want. However, there might be some erros in the numbers and error messages(text) will show in the cell instead of numbers. So I cannot set the column type as double. I want to ignore these error messages and sort all the numbers. How can I do this?
Also, I need to add some background colors to different rows in datagridview. So in the column header click event, I call the bkgColor Sub to achieve this. My question is that how can I override the sorting method in this event?

i have a datagridview with three columns. i set the first column to visible=false, so the user can only see two columns.when the user presses the tab key in the first visible column -- column(1), i want to ignore column(2) so that the user only tabs through the rows in column(1)i can't get it to work. it will always tabs through the rows in column(2) even if i use the column name.

Am using the Entity Framework and Columns Completed and Taken are of bit Datatype. When the query results are displayed in the datagridview, these bit columns are returned as of ColumnType Textbox - so i get a Datagridview textbox column with true or false string values.
I want to display Completed and Taken as Checkbox columns (either ticked for True or un-ticked for false) but ofcourse i can't do this in EditColumn dialogue because the Datagridview is unbound.
how can i change this in code at runtime

Is there a way to find the column index of a datagridview column using the columns DataPropertyName?I currently use a loop (shown below in the class) which is kind of ugly, but it works. I have a DataGridView (dgv) on a Windows form (VB.NET) which is bound to a datatable. One of the bound columns is a an ID (Foreign Key) to another datatable. All I want to do is Hide the ID column and populate an unbound column with the Name (ParmName) for the user. I searched the foreign value in the datatable and retrieved the information. I set the Value of the cell in the Datarow. All works well, but does not display. The cell accepts the value...I can even Debug.Print the values to the console. They are there just nothing displaying in DataGridView. Nothing odd about DataGridView. Should be straight forward...

Alright I have a DataGridView, where the user can click on the column headers to sort. When they add a new row while a sort is applied, the record isn't created until the moment they validate the row(which they cannot do till they exit the newRow). How can I make the row be selected once it is sorted?The DataGridView is databound.The selection mode for the grid is full row.I'm using VB.NET with SQLite database backend.I suspect I need to use the RowsAdded event, or DataBindingComplete events. The records in question do have a unique GUID attached but it is NOT visible in the DataGridView.
