Mar 9, 2012i have my code until now,like a set-up file.First when i click on my button it sends me to the form with the setup steps,when in setups it is copying a identical file into the startup menu.I want my button to check if i have that file into the startup folder,if i dont have it to send me to the setup if i have it to send me to the form with the program.I must mention that there are 2 forms,the setup form and the form with the program.Until now i tried this,but it dosent work so well...

May 20, 2011im trying to make an application which on start ask the user to browse for a .lnk file Once the lnk file has been browsed,the application is shown and there are two buttons
1.Launch
2.Exit
When The Launch Button Is Clicked,The .lnk File which the user browsed to at application startup should open. On exit,well it just exits the application! and the openfiledialog should pop up only for the first time the user ever opens the application.the file path should be stored in a .txt or .ini or registry file so that next time he doesnt have to browse for it again..how would i go about doing this!Here is my code so far! myprogram.exe CustomNamesFolder > Inside that folder there will be a file called names.txt how can I doit so that name.txt file loads in my ComboBox? so when user downloads the exe they can just go in to folder edit the .txt file and add names they want and when they start program it will load this list in to the ComboBox of my program

If I close all open designers and rebuild the project I am then able to open the designers OK.I saw a suggestion to 'restore file associations' in Visual Studio and tried this but with no success.
