Sep 1, 2009Working in the interface I find it very frustrating that when you double click something in a form, it automatically enters code that you have to delete, then exit out when you were only trying to single click. Is there any way to disable this double click feature? Or possibly change it so if you press CTRL and click it automatically brings up the Code?

If it will flag the wrong line, is there anything we could do when editing .exe files to ensure a regular debugging session later?Isn't there something like setting line x to be Y? Apr 21, 2011The solution and all the projects within it are set for Debug;I deleted the .suo file as recommended in one posting.I ran rebuild on each and every project individually and the entire solution.I deleted the files in binDebug and did the whole thing over again. Still can't debug.
While stepping into (F8) I did get the hollow debug symbol in the margin and when just running the program (F5) the program starts up without stopping at any of several breaks in different functions and subs.
Plugin Doesn't Stop On Breakpoints?
Apr 18, 2012I'm seeing strange behaviour with a plugin for Readsoft that I'm developing.
I want it to stop on a breakpoint but it doesn't. The msgbox just before the place I put the breakpoint is displaying correctly, and the one right after it too.

Use Of Option Strict And Option Infer
Feb 22, 20111. I have read that keeping Option strict on and Option infer off is good practice and will insure your code is tight and properly written. I would like input regarding this, pro's and con's from those who are in the know.
2. Having said that, I have set Option strict on and Option infer off in an existing program I wrote (that was working perfectly mind you) with them off and on respectively. I went through and cleaned up all the errors on the 'need AS' and casting of variables, but one is leaving me a bit put out.[code]

I want to build it under option strict on first before I do anything else -- which maybe converting it into C#. I found there's thousands of lines of code raises compilation error, mostly are about implicit type casts. Is there any tool would help to make it compile under option strict on mode if I don't want to correct every single line manually? Because it's really painful to add CStr/CInt invocation into every line of Code myself.
