IDE :: Measure Webbrowser Component Inactivity?

As I've noted in another thread I'm trying to put together a secured kiosk app for access to our college library catalogue.I've managed to do most of the stuff with little fuss but, given that I'm not much of a programmer, I'm having a bit of trouble with certain features I'd like to incorporate.One of them is that I'd like the webbrowser control to return to the components designated homepage after 5 minutes of inactivity.

I have started my TV Guide app. My appoligies to those outside the USA. I don't think it will work for you.I have a form with a WebBrowser component in it. I've named the WebBrowser "Display".

This should make it open that website, but I get the error, "Value of type 'String' cannot be converted to 'System.Uri'."Opening that same link in a regular web browser takes you to the the desired site.I would like to do this without all the extra crap such as the igoogle stuff. I don't know a thing about htm/html programming, but I have uploaded the source including the websites and the source code for the sites.

I've tried to implement directory listing using the Webbrowser component, I dont need much, just to display some directories, be hable to click them and then be hable to see its contents and be hable to see the images and files inside. the problem is, the default behavior of the webbrowser component is, any directory link you try to click. it will inmediately make either IEXPLORER or MS Explorer to run (in a new window) and open the directory. I just want the webbrowser component to let navigate freely on directories. What can I do to implement this? Just to Clarify: I just want webbrowser to open the directories and files IN THE SAME WINDOW and to not run the MSexplorer like it does by default.

I have some code for a ProgressBar that i'm trying to link to the webbrowser component in VB 2005 XE. the code so far

I'm working on a VB.NET application for disabled people which uses the WebBrowser control to capture the HTML content from an webpage (just to present, after some code treatment, in a textbox) and trying to solve the following three problems:
1) I'm using the WebBrowser control just to load a web page, but some pages provide a refresh after some minutes. Is it possible to avoid/disable the WebBrowser refresh (important: I need to keep the WebBrowser instance alive, so I can simply dispose it) or I'll have to rewrite my application to use WebClient control instead? (solution that will be provide much more work in my case).
2) The DocumentCompleted event, that takes the HTML content and shows in the textbox, is called several times for some pages (like www.uol.com.br) and obviously beginning to execute the code on my sub method several times too. A friends of mine tell me that maybe it can be solved "setting the WebBrowser for HTTP 1.0 to avoid the load from Ajax content". Is there anyone who knows how to do it or simply knows a way/event more precise?
3) Is it possible to take the HTML content and convert the charset "on the fly"? If not, anyone knows an URL with a sample code?

I've got a DGV and a timer, I want to hide the DGV after 15 minutes of inactivity on my form. How can i do this? I've got a number of other controls (textboxes, buttons etc).
I thought somehow I could reset my timer every time a mouse moved on my form but would this create to much running on the mouse code when a user moved the mouse on my form?

I am developing a parental control application containing a feature that logs a user off of the computer after an administratively set period of time. I do not however want the application to continue counting time against the time limit when the user is not active on the computer. EXAMPLE: Child logs on and is active for an hour then leaves computer for 45 minutes to get dinner. The session timer needs to ignore the 45 minutes of inactivity. I have thought of two ways to accomplish this.
1) Use a SystemEvents.SessionSwith event (to detect the Start Menu > Log Off > SwitchUser action), or
2) Use an event which would detect user inactivity in excess of a set time, e.g. 5 minutes (similar to a screensaver).
Either event would call a method which would simulate a pause feature (as StopWatch and Timer have no pause support that I know of). I believe the 2nd option would prove to be more universally affective as 1) some users do not have Fast User Switching enabled, and 2) users would be required to manually switch users in order to prevent their inactive time from counting against them. My problem arises when I attempt to implement one of these methods. According to the IntelliSense error checking engine, I have absolutely no clue how to do either of these tasks in spite of the research I have conducted on the topic. I would prefer to go with the system idle time approach.

Let's say, I have something like a table in the WebBrowser component, it's not actually a table, because the data organized in flash, but, it's organized like a table, it has like rows and columns. I am converting an old Vb6 solution to .net 2.0 in vs2010. I've been working in C# for about 3 years now and .net for 5. I don't recall having this problem in C#, but if I want initialize a readonly collection of DerivedControlFoo Is there a clean way to do it besides creating a sub to do it all off somewhere else? I'd love to be able to do it at the class level at the declaration for readability and simplicity.

How to measure a path's length?
How to insert a point along the path without changing its pattern?
and how to get a nearest point along the path with a given point?
or
get a on-path-point with a given percentage of the length of the path,
e.g.: 3/4 of Path(new point(){(0,0),(2,4)}) = (1.5,3)
(like Adobe Flash, the object can follow a path to move.)
I have tried to measure length with Graphicspath.flatten, but it takes time and not accurate enough. Is there a formula to do that?

get sample code by using NI-6009 to measure voltage(Vrms) and Curent (Irms) . Before this i'm trying to make code with using example in National Instrument VB2010.But i still can't display the right values of voltage(Vrms) and Current (Irms) from waveform that I used.The data comes from data acquisition grid in source array i used to plot sinus waveform.But the problem is I don't know how to measure voltage(Vrms) and Curent (Irms) from that waveform. I am also don't know how to start programming between NI-6009 DAQ Card and Visual Basic 2010 Express.
