I'm trying to retrieve a record from access database on the basis of a string variable.

i want to pass val variable, so that i can retrieve data at runtime.
I have several sets of similar objects (labels, progress bars) on a form in Visual Basic 2010 on Windows. In my code, I have collections that contain data, which needs to be pushed into the value/text property of each.
I would like to get a solution similar to PHP in that I can assign values somewhat like:
For ID as Integer from 0 to count(collectionExample)
lblExample{ID}.Text=collectionExample(variableID)
...and as such to loop through so each of the different lblExample's were updated to their corresponding value.
The issue I have come to is that I cannot seem to reference an object on the form using a variable. I have also tried using something like
CallByName("lblExample" + variableID, "Text", CallType.Set, exampleCollection(variableID))... however I still can't combine the string and variable to reference the object.
Any solutions on referring to objects in VB2010 by combining a string prefix and a variable string identifier, similar to PHP's $variable{$variable} approach?

I found some but all were VB6.0.

I'm trying to call C code in the form of DLL's from Visual Basic. When I do everything passed by value I have no issues. But what I really need is to return multiple pointers to arrays of sizes I don't know at compile time (so I'd have to dynamically allocate that memory). For instance

Here the array sizes are hardcoded but that's for the simple fact I didn't want to copy my whole algorithm over, in my actual code I wont know the array sizes at compile time. So my questions are these:How do I make the function declaration in Visual Basic 2008? How do I free up the memory in Visual Basic that these pointers point to?
I am trying to locate the runtime install for Visual Basic 6 Runtime Extended Files. I am not a developer just the guy truing to get it onto the systems for them. My question is simple anI hope the answer is the same. We are converting our systemsfrom Windows XP to Windows 7 and we need the extended runtime modules so a number of our applications will actually work.
I cannot locate the install for this in the Visual Studio download area. Is the re-distributable part of the studio install (so it should be on one of the developers systems) or do I download it from somewhere else.
I am new to VB. I was trying to insert a record into access database with data reader. I was getting OVERFLOW error at runtime. My understanding is that overflow error occurs when we assign values that to variables that exceeds the maximum size of the data type.

But, how do I change programatically the password, ip or user to connect with the MySql server? Because it can change at any time, so I can let the user change these values.

I am just wondering how I can add Direct X references to Visual Basic in Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2. I cant find them in the .NET reference list, or the reference list, or anywhere. I downloaded the Direct X SDK for August 2009, but I can not add the .dll files to the reference list. Is there anything I can do to add them? I need the references for programming reasons.
